Good question, hope orphanages come back. Foster system struggles, more kids than certified placement homes. On the other hand people going to Eastern Europe. China lifted 1 child rule but people continue to have 1 child, so worried about generational retirement support. No easy answer. But government always leaps before serious study of what ifs

Stingy employers, should share at least part of their profits across the workforce in bi-yearly or yearly bonuses. Instead hang on to $ fearing the wealth won't sustain thier lifestyle as long as they'd like. Catastrophic event such as illness, natural disaster, or who knows.

I've been saying it's coming. We have to put a cap on gas prices. California governor needs to suspend the $2.00 a gallon gas tax or something. It costs me $160.00 to fill up. This is killing the working class. It's cheaper to stay home than to go to work.

@@1nesoch lol that might work for people that live in major cities but my job requires me to drive at furthest a hour and a half with a climb in elevation from 2k to 7k feet. I'd show up 6hrs late tired and sweaty with tools in tow looking like a crazy madman....I think my employer might have something to say when folks start reporting a guy on a bike showing up at their houses.

Small businesses need to offer an affordable Healthcare package. If they want to keep workers. And don't work them at 39 hrs a week so they don't qualify for said Health insurance. #Walmart

That's low! One of the richest family's in the U.S. makes even more deceptive. Discuss with supervisor yet? Employers don't get it cost less to keep a good employee than the next 2-3 that are not good employees. Straight up ask if you can work an extra hour facing shelves, stocking or cleaning/dusting after any and all shifts in that pay period. BS

Retirees are not going back to work. Fewer immigrants are available for jobs. Anybody who was afraid to go back to work because of the pandemic has largely gotten over their fear. Those that saved cash have either spent it or will continue to save it. Companies are going to have to operate with fewer workers = more opportunity for automation. As for me, you couldn't pay me enough to get me to work for someone else ever again.

I work for a tour company in Alaska. We stopped getting cruise ships in 2020. Most of our guides and drivers have retired now. It's been very strange living in a tourist town with no tourists. It's currently very difficult to restart the business.

It's my dad's birthday today. My sisters Rachel Ann Callanan the lawyer in Saint Paul Minnesota and Cynthia Joan Dostal in Iron River Wisconsin killed him with a lethal dose of morphine. Rachel admitted it to me 3 years ago. I called the St. Louis Park police and reported this. My stepmother Catherine Boulger Callanan Magnuson and her husband David Magnuson were in on my father's murder and are living in the house my father left me at 1841 Parker Rd. in St. Louis Park Minnesota after they held a probate hearing without informing me. They changed everything in his will. I'm now living in a homeless shelter in San Diego fighting to survive. This is how the world is being run. The worst criminals get the most richly rewarded. No wonder the economy is tanking. Divine Justice is unavoidable. Happy Birthday Dad (Daniel William Callanan born April 30th 1937). I sure miss you.💖

Population shrinking, mass early retirement during beginning of pandemic. SS solvency pay as you go methodology. SS Trust Fund, taxpayer payments that exceeded payments. Congress messed with the saved funds. Complicated.

Not reserve money, borrowed money. Congress already wants to increase the debt limit from $30T to $32.5T. Spending [debit] more than taxpayers paid in [credit]. A buget deficit happens when debits > credits and the need to borrow to pay federal expenses and long term obligations, interest and possibly on the treasury bonds principle. Treasury bonds are issued into the financial market by the Department of Treasury. When Clinton left office 1996 U.S. had a budget surplus. GW Bush elected and entered office. Borrowed multiple times and accrued interest over last 20+ years. When citizens complain too much about fiscal irresponsibility, start another war or harping about some social injustice or Democrats fault or Republicans fault. Be nice if elected non-partisan because like the SCOTUS only basis for everything federal, is the constitution and laws enacted by Congress on the premise of the Constitution.

Although< I have interests in global economics I don't watch the news anymore... I have enough FUD lol. Thanks for this news and offering your insight on how to navigate during unfortunate times/events like this. You're right about keeping level headed when investing so that's why I think it's important to limit the amount of FUD we consume. I don't watch the media but the news that you present has enough to know issues going on without riding the emotional rollercoaster if I were to watch the news everyday.
