I'm currently doing a.. "Chaotic" playthrough in these Crpgs. -Tyranny: made a character who could turn Murder into Monopoly. -Pathfinder kingmaker: made a Necromancer king -The previous Pillars: a work-in-progress Dark Paladin. -and Now... a Bard who wants to try and ally with the awoken God.. because every Big Baddie needs their own Themesong.

It's so sad that this game did not recive the credit it fully desverve. How Obsidian lost money on it is unbelivable. I just love the game and they way you can customize classes with multiclassing. Making some insane fun builds. Rogue being the best combinator imo. Rogue/Ranger = Perfect sniper. Rogue/Wizard = Superb counter tank. Rogue/Cipher = Ideal assassin. I'm on my third playthrough now, replaying every year or so. So much fun.

Coming to the party late, as I generally only buy games after they’ve been out a while. Yes, I’m “frugal”. LOL Playing POE II on the PS4, but frustrated by average lag/loading times of at least one minute, plus a lot of hesitation in game play. Halfway through, then finally bought the PC version. Starting over, but so much smoother!! You made some great observations, but I want to offer three other things to consider: First, collect everything from every battle/encounter and then sort through the equipment to see what upgrades you can apply to your group. Equip that, and put the rest aside. You will be making your party stronger after almost every battle. Second, sell extra equipment that is equal to, or less than, the quality of gear that you are currently equipping. You can sell it to any vendor, and you should! Then you can buy lots of food that boosts morale (for the shipboard crew) and have coin left over for all the other eye candy you’ll run across. Third, don’t worry about getting a bigger ship unless you want to actually trade cannonballs with another ship. there are better ways of spending your coin. Instead, recruit fighters, paladins, and chanters at the taverns. Include one new, low-level Noob in your party for an adventure or two. When you go to level them up, they will climb to the level of your main character, or close. Give them good gear, then take them out of your party and rotate another new character in, and rotate back in the veteran you had displaced; now displace a different veteran. WHY?! Well, when fighting at sea you can always choose the option to board immediately. The various characters you have, even if they’re not in your immediate 5-character party, will take part in the ship-boarding battle. So… you want to take your time and level them up, and you want to equip them with nice gear, so that they can be a great help decimating the opposing crew. Keep the new kids simple - no subclasses, and few special skills. FOCUS ON PASSIVE SKILLS, on a 2:1 ratio or even 3:1. The quality of the character is WAY more important than the number of spells/skills he/she can use. (If you want to do more, use specialized scrolls.) The results are very good. You come across better gear often; you get a lot of stuff to sell for a lot of coin; you can also earn a lot of coin on bounties that you can collect more easily; and finally, you have a wider roster to choose from when/if you lose a battle and need to reload and try again - which, frankly, hasn’t happened since I started figuring out this dynamic. Great video, but incredibly brief for such a deep game. Still, you covered some important parts and didn’t dally with making your points; you gave concise and beneficial advice. You really should have more views! I subscribed and will keep an eye out for your other videos. Keep up the good work!

I know I'm finding this video a little late (the game finally got a 75% discount, haha) but I wanted to drop a line and say how much I enjoyed your video - your writing, your editing, your sense of humor, and in fact your voice itself are all very enjoyable. You deserve lots more subs, so I'm clicking the red button.

@@VersusEvil That would be great, I love all the books about the gods, such " Daily Affirmations of Focus and Efficiency" and "St. Waidwen: Farmer Become God". Also the history of the Deadfire Arquipelogo like "Nothing is Lost: The Search for Ukaizo" and "The Rise of the Cipher Rangas". Oh and "The Great Western Stag", which is a tale about Eothas, Hylea and Galawain!

The greatest feature is allowing the player to chart and name islands. I named the first islands I charted "The Pussy Islands."

Idk how these games were under my radar for so long. Everyone comparing diablo online the last couple months I finally asked what’s POE? Nobody ever fully worded it. I finally got an answer and looked it up and they both are on game pass so I decided to give ‘em a whirl and i am obsessed. It’s like a fantasy book and game combined with D and D and I just can’t stop.it’s incredible.

it doesn't need to be huge and empty , filling areas with details bring quality ,also as latest game showed us , the ones that are too big end up feeling like a sandbox and you have to put the game away after a week

@teaspoon I just started this game two weeks ago. I’ve had to restart a couple of times; I was just lost. Biggest new thing I noticed is that the main character’s and party’s attributes affect the choices offered and the consequences. Yeah, I don’t want to spend any points on making my wizard athletic or stealthy, but if I don’t throw a point or two here or there they won’t be able to do some things, or will get hurt/injured. Also, a lack of diplomacy often means fighting is the only way to go, which may be how you want to play it - but lots of diplomacy and/or insight and/or streetsmarts can give you other options (and information) that are also beneficial. It’s a very good game, with lots of depth and replayability. Very few games of this depth (Dark Souls, Dragon Age Inquisition, etc.) can boast that.

I love this game so much… that being said… it runs atrociously on console and I’ve wanted to stop playing altogether multiple times on account of the load times alone but on top of that the crashes and constant lagging during fights. It’s really sad how awful it runs.

I started this game on PS4; I had to restart a couple of times due to issues with it lagging, etc. It only whetted my appetite. I bought the PC version and have started new AGAIN - and in the first half hour of play I have noticed a lot of differences in responses to my character & party, based on their attributes and classes (which have been different every time). This means that replayability is a strong feature in this game. Many encounters have at least two ways they can go, which affect other dynamics. It makes it feel like a bigger game, to me. I’ll definitely be playing this for the next month or so.
