also probably because of her disability, that caused her to learn seismic sense which is ultimately the best skill to learn in a fight (being able to foresee the opponent's attack). the possibly only disadvantage is that it doesn't work when you're up against an airbender.

The comics actually showed a Toph vs Bumi fight. And they were both evenly matched. They even ended at a draw. So it is safe to say they are both strong earthbenders

jefferson cristobal nah, evenly matched seems appropriate. Bumi is past his prime, and at the time Toph hadn’t reached hers yet, certainly in her Prime Toph would be more capable than Bumi, but at that point, these two incredibly powerful earthbenders were equals. If you need an example just look at what Bumi was able to do by himself on the day of Black sun. All the Omashu resistance couldn’t do together in months what Bumi did himself in mere minutes.

If you think about it, it's actualy quite smart of her. The holes are not too far away from her nose so she can still breathe normally and given the fact she's blind, exposing her eyes posses no real threat to her. If her airway was to be directly exposed she would be risking severe injury. I'm not sure if they did that on purpose but I find it pretty cool anyway given how much I love Toph.

Things about a strong bender: - Learn from Other elements - Learn the origins of the elements. - Adapt to the changes and oppositions. - Don't let the corruption of emotions get to you. (Anger and Rage in Fire for example)

Sokka is also Toph’s go to person and the closest out of everyone in the gang. Notice in the end of season 2 and throughout 3 she is always holding onto Sokka whenever the are away from earth , showing that she has learned to trust people and let them help her

Fun fact: that space for her eyes in the rock armor was actually a mistake. They meant to have her just have a mouth hole to breath, but they animated it with an eye hole. It just slipped past production. Source: the art of the animated series book

Yes, she grew as a person because she learned friendship, that's what made her finally complete. She had people she really cared about and would do anything to protect, but also learned to trust that they in turn would do the same for her. She became more humbled. She was always with the mindset that she can do anything, but learned that there are things even she can't do, but that's okay, it doesn't make her weaker at all, in fact it makes her stronger knowing when to ask for help.

Making Toph blind and have her be such a badass was a fantastic writing choice. It's so empowering honestly, and a great lesson so many of us so-called adults need to learn to this day, how we shouldn't judge someone for their disability, it doesn't mean they can't do amazing things.

She was already extremely powerful and skilled when we first met her. An example of that is when she held up the entire library of Wan Shi Tong when the spirit was taking it down. This is why we don't see the biggest of improvements in her, because there just wasn't too much to improve on anymore. We did get to see her invent metalbending, and improve on it in the comics.

I mean both amazing in there own way and it is really hard to who will in fight since their fighting style are so different. Bhumi have mastered traditional earthbending while toph made her own fighting style and she is also more creative in usage of earthbending

Ik everyone would say this “I luv Toph” but I luv her in a different way (this isn’t anything regarding to if I’m special or somehting, I’m just saying a lot of people probably say this) I feel like I get so happy whenever I seee Toph, people might say she is sassy and annoying but she has her own personality that makes her shine. She is funny, sarcastic, but sweet in the inside. A perfect person that should be in a team. Toph is so strong and I always just get happy when I see Toph and tbh Idk why I get so excited. It’s a feeling I never felt before bc I always have a specific reason I luv them but Toph she is special. I luv u Toph 😌

from the Kyoshi books, we get the info that a lot of powerful earth benders do have some level of seismic sense, Toph just took it to another level, being able not only sense something hitting the earth, but the tiniest vibrations in everything. Like her Beifong introduction said, girl can sense even ants. And seeing her in Korra jack it up even further to connecting to roots systems and seeing like half the world.

Toph’s battles with the Dai Li are one of my favorite battles of her! It makes imagine what a great battled it would be if Kyoshi battled them one day as she’ll be disappointed with their corruption!

Toph is the best earthbender of all time, no question about it. She is very in touch with her element, being able to create a sub bending at the drop of a hat. She’s been shown to be able to hold her own against earthbenders and other benders alike. She is the GOAT.

Although I love Toph she technically did not discover metal bending. She was the first person to execute it, but not to discover it. When aang met the guru to unblock all his chakras the guru said something along the lines of “Even metal is earth but purified” So technically the guru was the first to discover it, Toph was the first one to execute it.

This explanation really have some understandable and inspiring words even the one who spokes it I have some issues in understanding strong English words as I was not born using English as my first language the one who spokes it really helps me understand it CLEARER other than that I found this explanation very helpful about toph's information on how her life and journey affects and improves her strength, taking her strength to the more advanced level :D
