This is my Review for the TopTes PT-520B + ad the PT299 Gas Leak Detectors. I share the features, what people may want to use them for, and show you how to use it.

I have a PT199 currently works well. But this extendable one is really adorable!

I can see the extra reach being useful, but can also see the smaller size fitting in your shirt pocket easier…. Just depends on how much you carry it around. Appreciate it (don’t forget to add the hashtag if you want in)

Nice review. What I've notice with most of professional battery powered tools (detectors, sensors, callipers etc.) they don't deplete the battery when off. Contrary to their cheaper counterparts. Thus I always take out the 9V battery form my dirty cheap RJ45 cable tester, while I don't have to do it with ungodly expensive tools like Bennign/Duspol Voltage tester or any Flir detector.

I have found the same. My Fluke’s or other more expensive testers I never take the batteries out of. I just take them out of the weird ones that I might only use every 6 months

Thanks. Yeah I will keep it in my truck for the random calls when I’m already out…. I will load up the other one too if I ever leave for a specific job knowing it’s a thing.

Great video! Love the #ismellgas drawing idea. I think either would be a drastic improvement over nothing! lol my Ventless gas log fireplace is leaking right now and I'd love to be able to find it.

#ISMELLGAS It seems that this company does a good job with all of their products that I’ve seen reviewed. And yes, the Duracell batteries are a really nice touch. I had a gas leak at the furnace last year and this would have been nice to have had then. But it’s ok, the fire department and gas department found the leak for me at 2:00 in the morning. 😂

@@nachoisme yeah I’m not sure… I see some people put stipulations for if you like/subscribe/share etc… and I don’t know how you would even know if someone did that, little on if someone is certain profession. I do give some things away locally to guys on job sites sometimes, but you are right.. it would be nice 👍

I don't use Duracells any more. They are the worst leakers or as Steve would say she's a leaka mama. I have had them leak still in the package. #IsmellDuracellsleaking

I don’t normally buy them Because they are too expensive… so I was going by my perception of the past 😂 So they must not be what they used to be. Steve’s laugh cracks me up.

@@MORGANSMaintenance I have had multiple different packs from different years do it so I tossed all mine out. I usually get Costco's or BJ's. I haven't had those leak. Good enough for this neighborhood. The way he talks to his customers sometimes too. lol
