@@leonruvalcaba1549 Sound of the work is very important too. You can hear many properties of the material you work with. Every service tech with some experience will tell you that. Each machine has it's own specific "music" and if you know it, you can find out a lot of problems before they can become a disaster :) Sound in work is as much important as sight, that's why i also preffer those clips with real sounds of the craft.

I once made a turkey by tracing my hand. This guy creates works of art. I wish I could get one of those anvils hear in the USA. Keep up the craftsmanship.

I noticed he was using it with the bevel up. I was taught to use mine with the bevel down as I use a chisel.

awesome skills I appreciate a guy who has traditional ideas and crafstmanship. I have restored some of my great grandfather's tools and am building a hand hewn log cabin and forging the hardware and nails to put it together

Hej Torbjorn, Your tools are usually so precise, I love how you just used a handy lump of wood when you needed a soft hammer to straighten out the steel - very efficient!

Torbjörn, i LOVE what you do; Little tip; try chalking the wood where an axe handle is gonna rest, or any tight metal on wood part that you don't want slipping. Chalk is extremely grippy, never lost a head or decorative metal part with it. Also try chalking your files too, it works well for clog prevention.

Some from regular steel suppliers, some from the scrap yard. I have got some from local machine shops also.

I love it when stuff is still hand made, and where loads of love and work is put in to pieces of art like that. Instead of Wall-Mart massproduced crap that breaks every so months or earlier.

At the beginning of heat treat, it was really cool to see the temper move through the blade (@ 8:17). Great job!

Eduardo Basile Definetly not. And my second thought was; that would be a nice variation from the axe when making kindling. Especially when you get planks-ends and similar left over from other projects :)

I was about to criticize your way of fixing the handles, fixing them without glue or epoxy or sth else, until I saw you testing it; it is too sharp and deals with wood as if it is butter. I really Enjoy watching your videos.

We must be thankful there are old-world men of the elements still walking the planet such as yourself who take the time to instruct us in The Black Arts of fire and steel. These skills are making somewhat of a renaissance and in no small part to folks as yourself, as limited in numbers as they are. You're an amazing and very talented craftsman and it's an absolute joy watching you create.
