Toro Prostripe 560 on Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass

At this point... I think we are just mower collectors. I found this Toro Prostripe for sale on facebook marketplace for an awesome price so I snatched it up. I have always had a problem with rotary mowers not going low enough to do anything on my lawn so the Prostripe going to 0.5" will come in handy! It already has actually haha. This video also serves as an update on Left Tool's Tahoma 31 bermudagrass which is coming out of dormancy much faster than my tifway 419. Hope you all enjoy watching the Toro Prostripe in action!

Yall make me laugh every time I watch yall! Thanks for that. A lot of golf courses are closing down nationwide, unfortunately. I guess since the Tiger Woods days are pretty much gone, the nostalgia has been lost with people. It's sad, because a lot of my old golf courses that I used to play on have shut down, as well.

This is the best rotary mower out there!!! I use on my baseball field and get the same exact look as I would a reel mower.

Dawn Hill! My grandparents used to live off of the second green. Grew up making frequent trips from Kansas City down to play it. Very underrated track. Lots of good drinks were had in that 19th hole

@@rizocars6115 i need to show an update on that actually we were just talking about that a couple days ago. it filled in, not quickly, but it filled in. but it filled in with both common and tahoma. so i don't recommend leaving spots. do every bit of it with the sod

Striperman, good Wednesday afternoon to you mate, a glorious starry ,bird sleeping early Thursday morning here ,about 16.8 degrees here heading for 27 max today, no rain predicted in the foreseeable future. The hills behind me are slightly dry and authorities have been control burning this week. Need rain like yesterday. 😎

I love the baseball field turf explanation. So here in Philadelphia, Citizens Bank Park has KBG on the infield and Bermuda on the outfield. The reason has nothing to do with stripping. When a turf renovation was done both the infield and outfield was done using Bermuda. The problem with it was ground balls when hit off the Bermuda just took off and where much harder to play. One of the coaches, Larry Bowa complained about it to the grounds crew and was finally able to get them and ownership to change the infield to KBG because it is a much softer turf thus slowing the ball down on infield hits. The stadium is supposedly the most northern with Bermuda grass. I myself have KBG here in Philadelphia front and back. Lol

Where did this thing come from? I have never seen one before. It appears to compete with the Allet rotary mowers. So I’m guessing it is somewhere near the same price range. I’m guessing you won’t find it at HD?

The chassis is a Hayter (UK company owned by Toro). This Toro has a better engine however, Hayter use Honda and Briggs. I have the 17" version, only sold in the UK :)

@@roger4880 I have two Hayters(16 and19 inch) cut and stripe quality is the same as my reel mower. The Pro Stripe has a 22 inch blade. Retail $2,500.

Your grass look cool and everything but I was wondering.... if you wanted something that flat , why didn’t you just put green carpet? Or green concrete ? I thought the point of having grass was to actually HAVE SOME GRASS !? At least 2 or 3 inches at least !!! But you literally have NO grass ! All I see is the roots of grass... but no grass ☹️🤷🏼‍♂️.................grass
