My fiance had ask me to marry him, on Friday night, in Aug. 1987. He passed away, the very next night....They had found him, on Monday morning. 3 days later, after the funeral, my son, was consoling me, while we were watching, K C. Music groups, on tv. I had said, out loud, and ask God, to send me a song, from my late fiance...1 minute later, as my son was hugging me..KC, announced, that here is a new release, from TOTO, called PAMELA....My son looked frightened and had said that it scared him and he went upstairs, carrying. I just listened, to the words...and cried tears, of JOY... This all can be fact checked...God is Great and so real! STEELERETTE

Not to mention PORCARO, the drummer, who was the drummer of the century, he was the drummer for a work of art like THE WALL, with pink floyd, he played with greats like madonna, barbara sterisend, bruce sprinting, julio iglesias, everyone wanted to have him as a drummer, unique in the history of international rock!

This song is just perfection. No digital compression, wide range of instruments, talented vocal, and my god that bass line. Pure talent here. This is one of those songs that has that big driving sound that gives you goose bumps. Why can’t we get music like this anymore.

The only thing wrong with Toto is that you listen to them non stop for days on end until over saturate-because they’re so damn good. Then you stop for a while and forget about them and then rediscover them and listen to them for days on end and the cycle just repeats itself. One of the best bands ever

What's funny is that you've heard more Toto than you probably know. They're on so many albums for other people. For instance, Michael Jackson used them extensively on many of his songs. In fact, Human Nature is pretty much Toto with Jackson singing. It was written by the keyboard player.

They all were professionals, Jeff was already recodring and can be heard on say half of the albums from the eighties at the age of 16 besides Steve Gadd. David Paich is the son of Marty Paich, son of a famous Hollywood composer. Steve Porcaro did all the revolutuionsry synthesizer stuff e.g. on the first Michael Jackson Albums.... This band is legend! Some of them sadly died too early...

The Seventh One was Toto’s most underrated album. Joe Williams is an awesome singer and this album really showcased the funky rhythm section of the late great Porcaro brothers. Jeff Porcaro was having the time of his life in this video.

This song is just one of a thousand songs that show the unmistakable groove and touch that the Late Jeff Porcaro used on this song. The Horn arrangements along with keyboard work is like peeling off the paper of fine chocolate.

Derick Hardwick He was so talented! The World's best drummer in my opinion. I just notice his skills more than any other drummer's. I mean, just listen to the intro of Hold The Line, or Rosanna, he really knew how to make the drums take place, and how to get one's attention. May he rest in peace.

This song definitely cooks!!! Great parts for all the band! Phil, you’re right, the bass couldn’t be more perfect. Those Porcaro brothers must have had a hell of a music house at home. This album may have been second to Isolation their best and "Pamela" is magnificent. There's so much to love here. The melodies are beautiful and varied and there's a lot of passion in Joseph's vocals. Toto could be rock and R&B and pop all at once. I'm trying to put together eventually a Toto influenced band, but I have other favorites too. I'll never forget how comforting I found Toto in my childhood and still do.

Great song. Great band. I'm so happy and proud that I was a teenager all through-out the 80's. This video is a testament of how decadent the 80's was. Last of the great decades IMHO.

I had not heard this in years then one day I heard it playing on Radio 1 Rock out of Sofia Bulgaria. Man, I forgot how great this song was. What is cool is that back when this song was made five string basses were uncommon. Also the bassist uses a bit of slap and pop technique but it is tasteful not over powering like many of today's bassists who sound more like someone fooling around with broken bed springs. Toto has to be one of the tightest, cleanest smoothest sounding rock bands ever. Every musician is excellent with no showboating.

Rosetta Millington, one of the models, and the one that we can see the most all through the video, is now a fashion designer, has been married to actor Balthasar Getty, who is very handsome and appeared on Lord Of The Rings, and she also appeared during the "Wild Horses" video from singer Gino Vanelly in 1987.🌟

This is jazz rock perfection. Toto are the best band ever formed in my opinion. I have a lot of favorites, but Toto are unbeatable musicians and this is a really great melody with beautiful vocals from Joseph Williams and Steve Lukather. Lukather wows me. I can't believe how talented he is. Such a sweet sound to his playing. Very emotional. And of course Mike and Jeff- two of our very saddest losses and two irreplaceable geniuses.

Massively under-appreciated album. And it got me through many late nights as I always put this in when I studied. The music industry was going through some stupid changes and overlooked this masterpiece. The musicianship and talent in this video/album is so evident to anyone with good taste in music.

The record producers born since 1983 have dined on the musical equivalent of big macs and french fries. Their musical taste buds have been burnt off with hippy hoppy drum machines and samples of samples of samples. They need to get out of the screechy bat-filled caves they live in. Spending too much time in the dark makes you scared of the light.
