This is a trip that Dave and I (John Maguire) did in the 4x4's in 2020. From Adelaide, South Australia, we travelled up through the Flinders Ranges, Brachina Gorge, (lots of Yellow footed rock wallabies!) Teamsters Campground, Aroona Dam, up to Lyndhurst, right turn on to the Strzelecki Track, right turn (after about 70kays!) on Talc Mine Road, across the top of the Gammons, through Mt Freeling Station and past the old homestead. Hit the T junction at Moolawatana Station and head south on Mt Hopeless Road. We popped in to Grindells Hut in the Gammons and drove the Wurtupa Loop Track, before heading south and home via Wilpena Pound.
