Architect: John Lautner
Architect of the Entertainment Complex: Conner & Perry Architects

About the house: "Goldstein's house, known as Sheats Goldstein Residence, has been featured in Architectural Digest, DOLCE magazine, The New York Times, Robb Report, and Town & Country. The house was designed in 1963 by John Lautner, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Goldstein purchased the property in the 1970s from previous owners who did not keep the house in good condition. Goldstein commissioned Lautner to make changes and improvements to the house. Below the main residence is an installation by light artist James Turrell known as "Skyspace" or "Sky Box".
Goldstein worked closely with Lautner and Duncan Nicholson, who took over after Lautner's death in 1994.[10] Nicholson is now the chief architect. "I wanted to remake the house exactly as John [Lautner] would have wanted it, and to introduce technology that didn't exist 30 years ago", Goldstein explained. The property next door to his also had a Lautner-designed house on it, which Goldstein bought and tore down to build a party house, tennis court and office. He continues to make improvements.[12] In 2016, Goldstein promised that the house eventually will become the property of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The residence has also been featured in a number of movies, including Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, French Exit, and The Big Lebowski."

@@greggb557 I don't mind those. What disappoints me are the 'super-cool' or 'super-this' 'super-that' and multiple 'iconic'. There's such quality information - all the 'another details', 'Mikey come closer' and to hear the slang or over-used terms is jarring. Detracts from the above par presentations Enes always creates.

This isn't the largest, the most well appointed, the most expensive, but it is the most beautifully set, thought out and pleasing HOME, not house, I've seen so far. You've toured so many beautiful houses, some so large you could almost land a plane in the driveway. But this home is not only stunning, it's LIVEABLE. You can live in this home in comfort and peace. Lastly, I love that the architect was afforded the opportunity to improve on his work. As an artist, I've often come back to a painting that I've sold and would love to take it and improve upon my work. As we grow we get better, our eye becomes more aware our skills honed. So to come back to a project you've completed with a fresh eye and skill set must have been thrilling. Well done. Finally, thank you again Enes & Mikey for allowing us all to see this beautiful home. Thank you for your attention to detail and ability to point out every amazing nook and cranny. We're truly blessed to have gotten to tour this one with you.

I am SO glad I stumbled onto this video. Not only is the house incredible, but I am also learning about an unbelievable architect. Can't wait to search for his work. And I can definitely see Wright's influence in the design of the house and furnishings. Just stunning. Glad you had the opportunity to tour this place and share it on KZfaq. Thank you for posting.

This house reminds me of the work of Mexican architect Agustín Hernández Navarro, especially of one of his most iconic builds, "Casa en el Aire". The brutalism, sharp edges and complex volumes of these houses makes my whole body tingle. Seems like the futurism that some of those brilliant architects envisioned, is some sort of temporal branch that was lost in the evolution of humanity and architecture itself. Sometimes it feels like I am seeing a parallel universe.

I watch KZfaq on my tv these days so I can’t leave comments like I used to, but this video left me thinking about it for days afterwards. This video is the best one of yours I’ve seen so far, you guys took the production of this one to the next level and I really enjoyed hearing Mr. Goldstein’s passion for the property as well as his life. Well done Enes and Michael!

That one was hell of a documentary. The intro, interview with Goldstein truely complements this content and your amazing hard work. I don't even want to start mentioning of how exclusive this building is, but I have to say that through your guideness and vision of creating a content like this one, we-your viewers, witnessed this one of a kind art piece thanks to you and the team. Thank you! PS: Gotta say, I realized while you're showing us the photographs Jimmy have with the celebs and your reaction to the big guys like Migos, Snoopy, J.Fox, missing Cindy and adding DJ Khaled at the end gives away your love for trap LOL! Adorable!

This 1963-1990-house is the absolute opposite of all the phony idiot architecture of rich people in LA. This one is a mega-gem, an absolute masterpiece, in all its richness of material and construcion, it's the richness of architectual THINKING and IDEA which is stunning. Congratulations to this, to your house, to you, Mr. Goldstein! Only one little detail: A big water pool cools the sleeping room day and night. Wow! It's so well-thought!

Roman's 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles (MOST modern day Europeans/Caucasians/ etc) be come in. (Yes there are some black “dark skinned” gentile people as well but the main gentiles ruling this world behind the scenes are in fact “white” gentiles. Gentiles are known for being practitioners of lawlessness although not ALL gentiles are lawless but rather Most as a whole. Part of the blindness is that we would not know who the true Father of Jacob(Israel) was and that we would worship false gods of [wood and stone] partially referring to worship of the cross(wood) and the “idol” of christianity the “jesus” that hangs on the cross tends to be made of (stone). Worship not literally meaning to bow down and speaking in gibberish nonsense tongue waving hands up and down, but rather worshiping meaning “To Submit To/Obey”. The speaking in tongue that some Christians do is nonsense, speaking in tongue only refers to the ability of being able to speak in a language or many languages to spread your message across multiple nations. Smh Deuteronomy 28:36 TMH shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. Deuteronomy 28:64 And TMH shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. Just as important as "what's his name," is "what is not his name." However, it is 100% certain that his name was not Esus Crios aka “Jesus Christ”, the idol of the Celtics who the Catholics sing at Easter in the Vatican, aka what all surface level “Holy Bible” readers (Commonly identifies as “Christians”) refer to the Anointed One as. We have been tricked, deceived as a result of the curses of the law (Deut 28-64)...wake up and stop following the lies of the Gentiles that govern this world. True Israel is awakening. I am no historian but I love researching and proving all truth. It was the so-called "Holy" Roman Catholic Church that banned us from reading certain books. Do not trust the Adversary's agents of deceit and destruction. The Catholic Church is not a good moral compass. Catholic meaning Universal. They literally crusaded all over the world, had TMH’s people murdered, burned women alive, and made laws against poor people (peasants) from having translated Bibles and books of education in the past. Who are they to condemn a book for any of us to read? They are certainly in no position to order us and they are most certainly NOT our Creator nor the Savior. Do not trust those who come in sheep's clothing but are rather ravaging wolves. It has been told of us to be as harmless as doves AND as wise as serpents. For one to be wise, You must research and READ, and educate yourself, AND prove ALL TRUTH. The only one to lead you is The Most High. Pray for insight but don't trust when LIARS tell you NOT to read something but approve of what you “Should”! It is good that we pray for you, and I do hope you pray for me as well. However, the decision is ours as to whether or not we fully submit to his will. The Most High wants us to submit to his will through our own decisions. That is why the Messiah says if any man comes to me, let him deny HIMSELF. That is why the word also says to be transformed by the renewing of OUR minds. That’s why it says every man will have to give an account for what he hath done. It is personal accountability and the sooner we accept this, the closer we will become to actually making the decisions that will make us submit fully to his will And for those of you who deny the existence of The Most High or don’t take the ancient scriptures seriously, you need to seriously wake up. Biblical prophecy is literally unfolding right before our eyes. This is not a game. A few notable mentions: Women wearing makeup should repent and change no debate, people who smoke weed (sorcery) should repent and change no debate, people who eat upon the flesh of animals… should reconsider. Everything is going according to prophecy, even ‘they’ have to move accordingly.. Go and sin no more and put in work for the kingdom. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. We’re living in end times yall. APTTMH! Visit Ahayah-Truth. Co m

Since the home is shrouded in foliage, it doesn't look like much from the outside on Google Earth. But the inside? Wow! The interior design from 1972 certainly reflected the tacky vibe of the period! Thank you so much Enes, Mikey, and, Jimmy (and John). A truly inspiring peek into the most incredible set of architectural spaces I've ever seen so masterfully captured on video (excellent cinematography Mikey). Visiting this estate in person is now on my bucket-list. As you remarked; imagining what it would have been like to experience such a place in the late 60s is a really fun thought exercise. Your vision is truly incredible Mr. Goldstein - absolutely stunning. As an aside; I would not be at all surprised if UFOs/ETs were almost fixtures around the place. I have zero doubt that highly advanced beings would feel right at home!

First off, a huge thank you to Enes and Mike for such an amazing job of filming this walkthrough. I had the honor of visiting this home back in late 2017 and they had just broken ground on that pool terrace area. One of my guys even got a video of a construction worker dumping a 5-drawer tool chest down the hill, the steepness of that location is no joke. I wanted to share a few details from my visit as well so hope you don’t mind. In club James against the windows are hidden smoke machines. Also at 26:30 behind that life size picture of Jim is the mechanical room that houses a network nerds dream cabinet; you get a better shot of it at the 26:00 mark (hidden door with blue/grey). And that room you go into at 27:50 is a museum to basketball and celebrities, lots of autographed basketballs that most would have as a prized possession just sitting around. Also, if you scanned through those photos…. Lots of nude… Well, I know why you guys didn’t film much of that room. ;) Lastly as we were leaving the event, we had a funny close encounter with the LAPD? Or some other official helicopter that flew over and announced over their speaker “you have to shut off those lasers, we get that you might be filming some movie but either point them away or turn them off. You are causing a problem with the flights at the airport”. Not an exact quote mind you but a very surreal oh poop moment for us. And yeah, that view is insane. As for the owner, what a cool dude. We were all walking around dressed up for the event and he was just casually chilling in his boxers and wife beater t-shirt enjoying the basketball game. Not a care in the world totally laid back. Very fun conversations I'll never forget.

Incredible property! It's wonderful to see the love and passion of the owner for his house and actually preserving the vision of the architect with his own ideas and concepts making it a masterpiece! and in addition to that even caring for the future and not leaving it to an owner who might destroy it with kinky renovations and interior designs. I love John Lautner and have been privileged to see his house in Tessin (Switzerland) as my brother did some renovation on it. thank you for the insight and thank you to Mister Goldstein for taking such incredible care of the property :)

Plot twist: Fast forward 10 years after James death, the LA County Museum of Art under pressure from BLM and woke DNC activists, James is condemned as a bigot and racist because of an old videos of him "resurfaces" yelling at a minority and another him saying people should be judged by their character and actions instead of skin pigmentation. BLM "peaceful protesters" set fire to the "house of the racist " as it is rebranded as, and woke Karens at CNN and MSNBC glorify the act as "inspiring" and 'Brave" just like they did with Jussie Smollet.
