There needs to be an award and a new hall of Fame because the one that exists has way to many that don't deserve the honor. But I agree with you on Aaron Lewis.

Man.. I came across this last night here at the office... broke my heart on that first chord, literally teared up, and I never do that (RIP Layne, forever in our hearts). I didn;t even know the importance of AIC to Aaron until looking into it last night. Someone said it perfect how he goes from joking to utmost respectful seriousness in this song, like he "Had" to get this song out. I feel ashamed that I grew up in this era, listened to all the bands, but didn't really "listen" to them, didn't really dive into what they were saying. I've come in and out of music too much. I loved/Love these songs, it really eats me up to know what I missed out on. But their music has always stayed with me at 35yrs old. That sound, musicianship, brotherhood, is what stayed with me. God do I miss that sound, Layne's, Eddie's, Chris's voices...damn at least I was lucky to hear it back then, it was a special moment in time, all these guys are special. Much respect Aaron

You cannot "see" with eyes you do not have, and you cannot know what you have not yet learned. You grew older, gained some knowledge and experience, and gained a different view/appreciation for what you were hearing. You enjoyed the music one way as a youth, and you see it differently now as you are older. That is the essence of life. No shame in that at all!

I'd never compare myself to Aaron Lewis, but I can tell he probably learned the same way I did,, no lessons,, a radio and a guitar,,, he can hear a song and know it,, without a guitar needed... to not only know the song but know the strum pattern perfectly,, guy is such an underrated guitar player

One of the best things about Aaron isn't just his amazing and unique voice, but his chill demeanor, not taking himself too seriously and not afraid to cover beasts like Black, Nutshell, shit like that when it's VERY risky covering vocalists who are almost gods. (Ed and Layne). I love Aaron Lewis. Plus he just looks like the guy behind the counter at everyone's local neighborhood liquor store. Gives approximately zero point zero fuuuuuuuucks!
