I'm am consistently impressed at the precision you have/us on these large boats. I tip my hat and expose my bald head to you, sir!

too many people lock off on cleats and bollards when its not needed and like you say , it can be dangerous if you need to get it off in a hurry.

There are so many tow captains that do this, it’s unnecessary. Only time I do is on dock lines when I’m short on the tag end.

That's a good point

I’m just curious how this works with you getting paid for these tow jobs….. Do these people ever stiff you ? Or do they have to pay upfront? And what is a general cost of towing? I know that mileage and distance play a factor, etc. but what’s a general ballpark figure I’m super curious how you provide these great services to people in need and how do you get paid for that Thx! ✌️fan from Delaware

I'm just curious - what's the ballpark damage on a tow like this, multiple times, and a lock...

This was an on the water breakdown with a Gold membership so they paid the first 3,000, and anything over was billed at the corporate rate. 2 days, and 52 nautical miles, was 1,400 out of pocket. If the lock wasn’t there could have been a 1 boat job & 1 day for less..
