I actually recorded this back in April but TOTALLY forgot about it, oops!

Okay but I'm so jealous to see that the alternative scene was so nice over there. When i was a baby to the whole scene, I was always on my own because in my city (and in my country in general), all the other people are in their late 20s and 30s and suuuper judgey, so that wasn't a good environment for young me 😔I'm 20 now and I still only know one other alternative person my age in the whole city, so that's sad, but since I'm older now it doesn't really matter to me anymore lol

Same here in Sweden. When I was 15 back in 2008 the alternative scene was so extremely judgemental. I remember a few well known gothic girls from gothenburg uploading pictures of young alternative girls to mock them and be "offended" that the young girls were inspired by them because these young girls looked like "shit". Today the whole alternative scene have pretty much died out which is sad. Many of them went to become "rockabilly" :p

Same ! I grew up in a rural country area and I was probably the only alternative person in my high school , no joke lol but strangely I rarely got bullied for how I dressed ! Just some odd looks but not much abuse haha weird crowd 😂

Thank you everyone. This is still fresh so everytime I think I'm alright I break down all over again. If he loved me he wouldnt of left, I keep telling myself that to make me understand I shouldn't waste my time on him.

Oh man, I love seeing pics of just, gaggles of goths and alt peeps hanging out in their youth. The most I had back home was mall-gothing it up and we had good times, but I wish we could’ve had cool lil urban hangout spots like those!

It was difficult for me being a goth girl, my friends parents never understood me so they would ban me from hanging around with their kids. The parents would always say I was a satanist and I was evil. It hurt my feelings a lot to be very honest. Love the pix and I love the spider. 🦋💀🦋💀🦋💀

I love these videos so much. Its so much fun to see old photos. I wish I had my super old festival hippie scene pics. I have some but lost a ton years & years ago. I had some amazing pics from a festival called sonic boom that was held in Colorado, usa in the mountains at a ski lodge. And since it was an electronic festival there were soooo many gorgeous cyber goths (didn't know at the time what that kind of style was called, just knew I was soooo blown away by how stunning the outfits were). The outfits you're wearing in those old pics are giving me the best memories from that festival. ✌🤘💋

Awwwww......we all went through a questionable phase when it came to clothes and makeup. But I think in retrospect, you gotta love the fact that in your youth you were brave enough to try new things/looks etc. At least that's how i feel about my pics from way back when. Your earrings are soooooo damn cute!!! I think it's super awesome that you had these experiences and made all these memories so young, and have always experimented with your fashion and makeup. Oh man. I miss Vampire Freaks. This was a lovely video and really inspiring for those of us who are closer to baby bat than refined goth. You're very fortunate to have been allowed a "goth phase" growing up. It's funny, every time I try to explain what using the Amino App is like I always start with "Sooo... do you remember Vampire Freaks.com?" And usually the answer is no. But it's basically like just the cults but on newer formatting and stuff. Anywho, Lovely video as always Kaya!
