We know you it's a subtle shout-out to your love of the patriarchy. Admit it! ...Just kidding! You don't have to explain yourself. We get it. It is an animated movie for everyone and you just wanted to make your video accessible for everyone.

"Hey, Buzz! You're flying!" "This isn't flying, this is falling with style!" "To infinity and beyond!" Fun Fact: This was the first animated film in Oscar history to be nominated for a Best Screenplay Academy Award - Adapted or Original. Method Animation Fact: The animation team perfected the movement of the toy soldiers by nailing a pair of sneakers to a sheet of wood and trying to walk around with them on. Stealth References Fact: The toolbox on top of the milk crate that Woody (Tom Hanks) is trapped in is a Binford, the same tool brand that Tim Allen used on his television show Home Improvement (1991). The carpet in Sid's (Erik von Detten) house has the same hexagonal pattern as the carpet in the Overlook Hotel from The Shining (1980). Animation Shortcuts Fact: Some 3D effects were too complex, or even impossible, to calculate at the time of this film; subtle tricks are used to avoid them. Examples: explosions, thus the viewer doesn't see Combat Carl's demise; hair dynamics, so Andy, Sid, and Molly all have short hair while Andy's mother's hair is always tied back in a simple-to-model pony tail; and flying water droplets, thus the viewer doesn't see any liquid when Woody dunks his burning head into a bowl of cereal.

This was a revolutionary film in its time, for the technology that went into creating it. As for watching the rest, I definitely recommend it. Like anything else, the sequels are where the fans start to debate, but I think they're all worth watching. I'm glad you enjoyed this movie. There are plenty more animated films out there, too. 🙂

Aside from the technical brilliance, Pixar films are also renowned for the quality of their storytelling. This was their first feature length film and really set the standards everyone else - and they themselves - would have to meet or exceed. Rather than thinking of this as a 'kids movie', I like to think of it as a film the whole family can enjoy. It has something for every audience. Not just an iconic film for how it shook up the industry, it's actually an enjoyable film. Not always the same thing. Thanks for sharing this. I hope this video does as well for you as this picture did for Disney.

😎👍 This was THE very first full-length CGI animated feature. The technology was so new at the time, that it took a minimum of three years to create something like this. That's why Disney/Pixar's next CGI animated feature, "A Bug's Life" came out three years later (in 1998). By the time of the "Cars" franchise (in 2006), the technology for creating movies like this had advanced to the point where Pixar was able to crank out one per year, which they've been doing ever since. And this is in addition to the "Princess" oriented CGI features released under the Disney banner during that period, "Tangled" (2010) and "Frozen" (2013). Just about all of them are well worth watching...with the exception of "Mars Needs Moms" (2011) which I haven't seen, but I've heard terrible things about it from everybody I know who has. 😉

There is no origin story, it is just the story of what toys do when humans aren't around. If they came to life of course👍🏼

Yes, definitely do more of the sequels! All of them are really good and none of them disappoint. The story telling and creativity for each entry are just top notch.

Statements that can have a completely different meaning after watching this movie. 1) "You're killing my Buzz" 2) "I am so glad I have a Woody again" 3) "You've got a friend in me" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fdqBrK-Ct8C2omQ.html&ab_channel=CutawayGuyX

1. Is it just me, or does Andy have a buttload of toys? 2. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen + an all star cast, 3. A great escape, what else could anyone want? 4. Try not to enjoy this. I dare you

In the end I have to assume you do not live in the US or anywhere else where fireworks are commonplace, because if you did I think you would have had the opposite intuition. When there is a small stick of dynamite on your back, you probably should not light it even if it *can* make you go fast for a moment before it explodes. 😅

I understand your reasoning about male viewers, but, speaking as a male viewer, it wouldn't bother me if you never reacted to another action movie. 🙂 I've never really seen the appeal of action movies unless they're tied to something else.
