I think one thing that the Toyo has an advantage over the Falken is that they are lighter. In some sizes the Toyos are almost 10 pounds lighter. Lighter tire means less rotation mass; better braking, acceleration, fuel economy etc. For most folks that drive 95% highway and 5% off road they would have a better long term benefit with a light AT tire.

Here in Arizona with the jagged rocks, and very harsh deserts, the only tire that seems to hold up with my experience are the BFGoodrich all terrain and mud terrain. They came on both my Jeep Rubicons stock so I was happy!

The makers of those tires on your truck are out of their FALKEN MINDS!!!!

Great review, not biased. Exactly my thoughts on the Falkens, I only drive 7k miles a year or so, so they probably have half tread left but are 6 years old and hard as a rock and LOUD. I would almost rather have a tire with less tread life that I got the use out of before they got so hard and loud.

Falken comes with 18/32 tread toyo comes 16/32…..toyo has a soft “beak in” compound that will scare you on tread ware but they will even out….the “floatation” sizes like yours (not LT metric) do have a slightly softer compound compared to your other falkens….even with all that you should see 50k out of them on a jeep….the set of falkens I had wore extremely fast and got obnoxiously loud on a 2wd dodge 1500 that was a street queen….louder than a set of MT tires by 25k…..I gave them away and went back to Toyo/nitto

Excellent in rain and snow. I'm going 60k and probably still have 20k left. Solid offloading. I do have the e rated set. PNW tested and approved.

Im telling you Kelly Edge MT... check them out brother. You won't regret it. Way nicer and longer lasting. They are great in MUD AND ROCKS...NO SLIP OR CHUNKS COMING OFF OF RUBBER TREAD. They are siped perfectly.

Also amazing for not hydro planeing and I found that rotating them every oil change like 2000 miles and literally no ware after 18,000 miles so rotation goes along way any one that know about tires will tell you that so rotate or loose

Just ordered a set of these in 35x12.5x17's (actually 34.4) for my 23 JT - HA. First time Toyo customer. Always went w/cheaper tires on previous trucks. I live in Ohio and work from home so they should last awhile, hopefully. Chose these bcuz of their reputation and warranty and compared to other tires in this size range, the price for reputable brands was also great. I think if the side biters would have been more aggressive, they'd be an MT vs the AT they are. Glad to hear they are quiet too. That was also a factor. There's enuf noise in these Jeeps already without droning tire hum.

I highly recommend ROKBLOKZ mud flaps, I have them in my JTR and they are the best mod, keep the jeep pretty safe from flying rocks and cleaner 😉

Ive been through 2 sets of MTs on my tacoma. Im trying the Cooper rugged treks now and definitely like them better than the falken MTs. Probably going to try these or the falken ATs next. It'll be nice to have experience with MTs, a hybrid tire, and then aggressive ATs. I mainly want something that works well in the snow but doesnt get chewed up on gravel roads.

Ive tried every brand across three trd offroads, falken wildpeak at3w is still my favorite. But everyone is different. No experience with the new at4w yet. Time will tell.
