Would have been real nice if you made a set of tacoma instructions. That way we would know that there is no back bracket and that we have to move the horn. Or do any type of instructions saying what nuts are for what. Or in my case, include the redarc mount like stated on your website. I went from really impressed when I got your product to pissed during the install. Edit: now looking it seems like not all the hardware was included either. This has turned into a real let down.

I have a red arc BCDC 1225D but it doesn’t seem to fit your accessories connector panel. Can you help me with this?

So you only removed the air box to be able to do the install easier and to take more clear footage, right? When you reinstalled the air box you installed it right back in the same place it was? Did you have to permanently relocate anything or drill any new holes? I'm looking to use the secondary battery tray for holding a little case for my air compressor accessories and I was considering the Rago tray because it looks like the easiest install. I don't want to rearrange my whole engine compartment just for a little box of accessories, it's not that important lol.

I wish I could lift my battery like its empty too. It is much heavier to lift with just my fingers.

I just received my package in the mail. There are two large bolts that are included in the kit. I did not see you use them. What is there purpose for the 5th Gen 4Runner? I will, eventually, be building my duel battery set up for the Dometic and I purchased the secondary box early to install the Rear diff breather. Thank you by the way. I love gear. I love supporting small businesses and I LOVE SUPPORTING TEXANS! Cheers and much health...

I installed mine last night and didn't need the bolts so I'm not sure why unless they just package up bolts/nuts/washers to fit multiple kits to make it easier for their shipping group. Also there are several more washers than you will need, though I did end up dropping a couple in the engine bay during the process so that worked out well. A word of caution....in my case I couldn't reinstall the bottom air box bolt that is outside the air box (the 3rd one he removed in the video) with the battery holder in place, it covers most of that spot and I couldn't get a tool in there to tighten the bolt so had to remove the battery box, reinstall the lower bolt for the air box then reinstall the battery box again.

@@marclaughlin2008 In the video, he says he is removing the air intake to make it easier to view the install. I started to remove mine too, then I rewatched the video and heard him say it. The ARB diff breather fits perfect on the back plate. I picked up 1 1/4 inch(#10-24, I believe) stainless steel bolts, (2 total, each)washer, lock nut and regular nut.

Because the 4Runner/Prado is sold both as a LH or RH drive, the strongest mounting location for a second battery is in the front of the engine bay, in line with the existing battery. The truck is designed to have batteries mounted in either of those locations and can handle the extra weight without issue due to the built-in reinforcements from the factory. The firewall area does not have the same level of reinforcement as the front.
