@@pnwvibe3123 lol..but for how long? There's a tightening and torque sequence you're supposed to follow so the head doesn't warp. You're supposed to start from the middle and work your way outwards. Any maintenance book will have the sequence.

What's was the bad sign of a bad head gaskets on those Canry 2001 ? Because I opened one just like that car . Mines leaking coolants in the passengers side. Then 3 misfires I change everything besides fuel pump and distributer cap . I change spark plugs wires couls fuel injectors fuel.presure Regulator still misfires and it leaks

Did u have any codes or timing issues after insulation? I hear that if the thickness is removed from these heads, even that of half a human hair that it will throw timing off and pull codes. Is it running without issues now regarding all that. Have a 2000 that just starting leaking enough to mis fire one cylinder so caught it early I’m hoping. So is that Camry doing well and no problems with timing or throwing codes. Thanks man and good job especially the video was very well made and filmed, good views on work site everything easy to see and clear.

The only way that would happen on the 2.2 liter engine is if it overheated by a lot. I have 365K miles on mine and it runs like new. I do all the maintenance on it. I never let it run low on coolant or engine oil.

you didn't have the block resurfaced did you? Any special prepping you did for that?

No not the block just the head. Apparently it’s pretty uncommon to have the block warp on these engines. Just clean her up as best you can. Then go over it again.

@@pnwvibe3123 Another question: Have you had any issues since doing this job, or running strong? I have a '91 so it's definitely a different process, but using this vid for guidance. Want to make sure an amateur mechanic like myself won't have any big surprises later on. Gonna do timing and water pump stuff as well.

Only if you over heated ...but leaking pressure it's only up too you
