Good results. Look at the coating on the dash and steering wheel and lower dash...not a touch, which is how you get hurt badly. I own a 1982 RA60 Celica like this and can attest there's quite a distance between the dash and your knees.

i have seen other japanese econoboxes smash up to the cabin. This celica held up much better.

Originally the Celica is strong rally car (not that econbox at all), so it holds very nice. Also Celica A60 has sporty and reliable engine/transmisson, so its very nice car to have. Despite of not very much horse power, it's engine likes high RPMs and sounds pleasantly.

+Redblower Maybe for a day or two. But HIC and chest G values were low. The limit for likely serious injury is 1000 HIC and I think the driver here was 702 and passenger 530, indicating forces well below the level necessary to cause serious injury. But yes there may be hospitalization for a minor concussion or something like that. But nothing severe. September 3, 2015 2:33 am

horrible facial and spinal injuries is my guess, 16 metres a second to zero in one metre is about 62 milliseconds. 16G's cool, almost double the space shuttle.....of course it would bloody well hurt your body.

It would probably hurt pretty bad. Ultimately though you'd be bruised and very sore but not seriously injured. September 3, 2015 2:35 am

+whattheheck1000 Looks like a hard hit to the steering wheel. It may have been acceptable in it's day, but not now. All the teeth would have been lost in both drivers and that would be ugly. The sudden change in acceleration dur to inadequate crumple zones would have caused internal organ injuries. lady diana Spencer can tell you all about that.
