I went to an Audio Express here in the St. Louis area, bought a Jensen VM9725BT stero (POS!!!), then traded for a Pioneer AppRadio 2 and purchased their install service. After all that time and money, this video makes me feel really foolish in hindsight! I didn't know how EASY it is to open my car's middle console. Should've paid my lil' bro to help install my stuff myself. Thanks for this video tut; you've done us Corolla owners out of warranty a real service. :)

Its not that easy on the 2009. I thought I was doing something wrong until I noticed 4 bolts holding the radio in the dash. I kept tugging and tugging like you did and nothing until I loosened those 4 bolts.

Mine also had four 10 mm bolts mounting the radio bracket to the dash. They must be removed before the radio will come out.

Your instructions didn't work for my 2010 Toyota Corolla. My radio if held in the dashboard with four 10 mm bolts. My radio looks the same as yours, but my radio has an additional four brackets bolted to the side, and it is these brackets that are bolted to the dash board.

Very cheaply built, everything is put together with plastic tabs. No wonder the panels creak and seem misaligned.

This is just dumb just saying to pull it out but in actuality there’s a bolt in it that has to be removed first . Very misleading and unhelpful video
