Toyota plans to launch the Hiace 10-seater MPV here in India by June 2015. The carmaker showcased this vehicle at the recent Bus Expo in Greater Noida. The MPV will come with a 3.0-litre diesel engine with around 132bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Here is a first look of a promising people mover from the house of Toyota.
Toyota Hiace is expected to be priced between Rs. 40-45 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), while it would be sold as CBU (Completely Built Unit). It would boast of some of the finest features one would ever see in a 10-seater MPV such as dual front airbags, ABS, power-sliding doors, power steering, power windows, immobiliser, AC, reverse/parking camera, and a 6-speaker audio system. Transmission duties would be performed by a 4-speed automatic transmission. Toyota Hiace would be sold as commercial vehicle only. Though, currently Toyota has put the launch plans on hold.
