An experienced based 'rule of thumb' (e.g. 7 years/170k km) should always be considered a valuable guide for the wise!

Hey, can you give us your thoughts on the new 1GDs with that "fancy" 48v hybrid technology and that "amazing" start-stop system? It'll never get up to acceptable operating temperature, will it?

Thoughts on after market front mounted inter coolers?
@Fourby4Diesel8 күн бұрын
Front mount gets better performance if you have solid pipes and don’t mind smashing it when you hit a kangaroo I prefer the top mount it’s easier to remove. It’s more simple. It’s a shorter track and when you hit a kangaroo, the car keeps going with no air leaks.

@@Fourby4Diesel thanks for your reply Anthony. I have a process west front mount with solid pipe work. I do get a bit worried about it getting smashed, we don’t have Roos over in the uk but deer are a problem. Was just wondering if there are any downsides regarding damage to internals or reliability due to it being aftermarket and not factory

@@Fourby4Diesel by shorter track do you mean shorter route for the air to travel

What about 2015 1KD, The final best?

That is the end of the best now don’t get me wrong. There is improvements on new vehicles, of course but with too much technology and highly strung engines meeting even higher emission standards it’s not gonna be the sort of thing you want to keep longer term and for a lot of people that do modifications which cost many thousands of dollars usually tens of thousands of dollars it makes it expensive to change vehicles regularly to stay out of trouble Selling the vehicle. Also gives the problem to the next person who can afford less anyway so it’s not a solution the solution is to not buy them. The States has the Petrol hybrid. That will not be suitable for a lot of of people, but it’s something that we would look into here certainly don’t touch a diesel hybrid, or anything after the one KD in my opinion
