Toyota Prius Front Windshield Washer Pump Replacement

Here's how I changed out the front windshield washer pump for my 3rd Generation Toyota Prius. I managed to get it done without removing the front bumper like I've seen in other videos which I think is a real time saver and it means I could do it myself without any help. I only switched out the pump for the front washer here but you can see where the rear windshield washer pump is located right next to it if you're having trouble with the rear one instead.

Info, I have a Prius 1.5 I disabled overthink and the Pumps were not there LOL. They were on the other side of the Tank. ;)

Took me about half hour. All good tips. I didn’t take the wheel off just turned completely to the right after the shield fasteners were off. Used the water to lube the grommet and pump.

I DID IT! Bolt and clip locations were slightly different for me compared with the video, but basically the same. Ordered the part for around $25, and Voila! Easy peasy. So much better than having to remove the entire front bumper section. THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING! Saved me money, and more importantly, I now have a new skill.

I was once depserate to get it working and swapped the faulty front with the working rear. I got the front working and rear out of action.

I want to know if this car has 3 ( Three) Wash pum 1 for the front windshield anorther for de back windshield and another for the headligths?

Good, clear instructions, thank you! I have a leak in the front hose, from rodents chewing on it. The leak is down in the fender, past where the hose enters the fender area after it runs from under the hood insulation, then down the hood hinge. Will removing the entire wheel well allow access to replace the hose? Thanks again, subscribed.

Just did it on a 2008. Easily replaced through the open hood only. One small white plastic thing is all that needs to come out to access pump. Pump faces inboard.
