The pump closer to the interior of the car is for the front washer, and the pump closer to the outside is for the rear washer. Hope this helps someone who came here looking for that info

This is absolutely wrong way to change this tiny pump... Just remove the front wheel and the shield... You will have easy access to that pub... You don't need to open that many parts which takes time and energy....

When draining the fluid, if you first open the fill cap at the top, it will reduce the splashing as the fluid pours out.

This is a really good video on removing the front bumper cover but it doesn't have to come off to replace the windshield washer pumps. All you have to do is remove to gain access to them is to remove small bottom cover on the right-hand side just forward of the front wheel. Once this small cover is opened both pumps are in clear view. I always jack the car up on the right side to gain access...

It's possible to remove the front left inner fender liner, removing the screws and clips along the fender opening, and also three metal screws that hold a deflector running across under the car in front of the tire... this will open up enough space to pull the pump, drain it, disconnect/reconnect wires and hoses to the new part. The pump pulls straight out of the grommet with a little effort. The new one sealed up without leaks and the whole installation was about 30 minutes, making an effort to work carefully to save the plastic push connectors for reuse.

Is removing the bumper really necessary? Why not just the wheel well liner?

+Andrew Choate Yes, we do recommend removing the bumper cover for this repair.

I just put one in on my 2011 Prius just by removing the lower outside two plastic fasteners that hold the bumper to the wheel well liner and I had enough room, didn’t even hack up the car. My car might be missing a plastic shield that is underneath the very front of the car but still that’s a lot easier than removing the bumper.

I have replaced this twice on my 2012, first the front pump and 2 years later the rear. Both times I completed this very easily by just removing the wheel well liner - plenty of space and a very easy job.

You are correct. This video is worthless.
