I'm happy to own a 2012 and a 2014 Prius V's. I've done many oil changes to them at 5,000 mile intervals. Here are a couple of my observations: 1. The plastic cover doesn't need a bungee cord. There is a hole that aligns with another hole (on the "belly cover" when you fold it completely back. You simply use one of the pop fasteners thru the aligned holes to keep the flap in place. I find it easier and better than the bungee. 2. I find a 9/16" socket to be a better fit on the drain bolt/plug rather than the 14mm. 3. I never had to replace the "crush washers". I have 130K miles on the 2012 and over 39K miles on the 2014. No leaks or drips so far :)

Great video! I've just one thing to add: To make sure you haven't cross threaded the housing when putting it back, put it in place, then unscrew it while pushing it in until you feel a click - now you can screw it in. Also, I lost a Prius to mouse damage (chewed wiring). If the car is garaged, the owner needs to put traps of d-con out to clear the mice out. Some years before, my dad got a lot of mouse damage (also wiring) to his garaged Corvette, so I was warned, but was stupid. Please let my idiocy save you some $$.

I have a 2006 Toyota prius. The tpms light is on.ii tried using the reset button after adding the Correct amount of air but the light continues to stay on how can I determine which sensor is bad? And if I purchase a sensor can I replace it myself and reset it as well?

I always wondered if an oil change was much different on these cars, thanks. A couple years ago my partner was updating her vehicle, we looked into hybrids but when we went to look at a Prius I was extremely disappointed at the interior. I don't ask much in the way of technology or features (in fact I prefer old school dials and knobs) but the entire dash and front console looked like it was made of cheap nasty brittle plastic. It immediately put me off, no matter how easy on gas or maintenance. Such a shame.

Starting with 2015, they added that hideous looking front end extension. Ugly! No wonder Prius V sales tanked.
