Short video on how to use GTS Techstream to update the ECU in Toyota / Lexus cars.
I am trying to fix some "White smoke from exhaust" problem on a Toyota Avensis 2.0 T270 from 2011.
After many complaints from the owners , Toyota came with a technical bulletin EG-0096T-1011 which addresses exactly this problem. In order to fix the issue , Toyota recommend updating the ECU. In this video I am going to show you how.
To perform this update you will need GTS Techstream software and a PassTrough interface that connects to the car via USB. In my case I used Tactrix Openport : www.tactrix.com/index.php

If you have a pass trough interface , the whole operation would cost you 10eur instead of maybe 100-200eur that the dealer would want for this.
