Today I tested Nioh Onmyo and Jutsu skills to find the stats. I tested the Power pill, the Carnage Talisman, Weakness Talisman, Steel talisman, and Protection Talisman. These Onmyo and Jutsu skills behaved differently than what I expected.
To understand the damage buffs in Nioh I came to a realization. Damage buffs are treated as if they are elements in Nioh, and I figured this out with my testing. I found that both the power pill and the carnage talisman had two different attack percent increases. They are different from enemy to enemy but they will be one of two percentages. Enemies can even have a resistance to one and not the other.
For Power pills in Nioh in the two damage percentages are 25% or 40%.
Carnage Talismans in Nioh are 82% or 107% with a defense decrease of 98%.
Weakness talisman in Nioh was a 9% attack increase and these numbers were pretty similar to the water status effect.
Only one damage percentile will be constant on any given enemy, and that number will be constant like a resistance.
For the defense talismans in Nioh I was pretty disappointed with the debuff numbers I found.
For the Steel talisman it was a 6% damage reduction for william.
The protection talisman was much better negating anywhere between 700-1000 damage.
Something else I wanted to mention was that rear attacks do a massive amount of damage, above 50% more.
