Thanksgiving Peach Cobbler Dump Cake is a spin on the classic peach cobbler. Spices of cinnamon and nutmeg really kick things up a notch for a Thanksgiving dessert. OMG... My sister and brother are going to flip out when I tell them I finally found my mother's recipe for this delicious dessert. My mother made it often. She departed this life 18 years ago. We were so upset with ourselves that we never learned from her how to make this, as you call it, peach cobbler dump cake. I can't wait to make it tomorrow. A million thanks to you for posting this. Clogged arteries all that butter,why not mix the cake mix pour over the fruit and use one stick of butter instead of the oil in your cake mix seems like y'all try to make cooking so complicated,I could have put this together in 15 min.- the cooking time

I use white. It don’t matter what brand.The dollar tree peaches is sooo good !! I put three cans . I love peaches. I also sprinkle pecans and brown sugar at the end on top of everything! So it can have nice crunchy thing with it. I tried Apple and it just didn’t do it for me like peaches 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@traciesplace all dump cakes are supposed to have chopped pecans mixed into the cake mix. That is one of the prime ingredients of a dump cake. :-)

Ms. Tracie, I actually make all of the different Dump Cakes you mentioned in your video. The only difference is I sprinkle chop pecans on top of the cake mix before adding the butter.

For thicker crust, could you do all your mixing of ingredients in a deposit pan and spread a box in a pan first, then carefully poor mixed ingredient on top of that first box Then add the second box cake Mixon top of your mixed ingredients??

I love this recipe , very nicely explained and most of all done very clean . People usually stick the same spoon back in the food after they taste the food ,but you used a separate spoon like I do. Thank you for this nice video

I have one in the oven!!!!! I started by pouring most of the juice out of the peaches. Added peaches and left over juice to pot w/butter, brown sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg, vanilla & fresh lemon juice! Cook for a little in pot..then, in a bowl mix a tiny bit of flour, add cold water and stir ti it's the consistency of milk, No lumps! Add to the peaches (as a thickener) You can use corn starch if you want, but I love flour and I use it for my Homemade gravy as well...but its going to be The Best👌

I tried your recipe but with Duncan Hines French Vanilla cake mix and added some Carmel sauce I had left from a banana pudding I made a few days ago. 😋 Sprinkled cinnamon ever so lightly and sprinkled sugar in the raw on top. Oh so good! Of course the ice cream to top it off! Love allll your recipes!

I make a peach one with honey nut harvest crunch granola on the bottom, dump 3 small cans of slices peaches in syrup, sprinkle on pumpkin spice and then French vanilla cake mix and if you melt 3/4 pound salted butter and pour it over the top it works the same way and much easier. 350 degrees for 45 mins. I might try adding vanilla and brown sugar sometime...

I've made it with the fruit cocktail mix. It's done basically the same. But we add walnuts or pecans, and it's put at the bottom. You really need to try it, it's delicious!

Yes..love dump cakes..have made..apple and peach pie dump cake, pear, cherry pie filling, and even pump..kin...all are good..on apple added brown sugar was sorted Carmel in taste..oh...even made a chocolate dump with chocolate chips and chocolate instant pudding....all.so easy and sooooo good.

Agree, I too like salted butter. I'd use in its own juice peaches. I think it has more peach flavor. Heavy syrup is to sweet for me. Vanilla bean ice cream is the best.

Late to the party 😃. Tracie, your makeup is on point. I'm an 80's baby, so I remember when makeup on women were minimal, softer and feminine looking. The dump cake looked awesome, I may have to keep it close for a quick dessert.

My grandmother always makes pumpkin pie with too much nutmeg! (Sorry, Granny!) So I like to bring an extra dessert... and with some digging, I finally found it! Exactly what I was looking for!! We already love dump cakes so I can't wait to get some of this... Thank you!

I've used all kinds of mixes, all flavors and brands and usually use fruit pie filling. Cherry filling with chocolate cake... mmmm yeah.... my husband loves the peach cobbler made with pie filling and yellow cake mix or white it doesn't matter really. The butter makes the dish.. some recipes don't have you add enough butter. The top should be covered like you did!
