Lot of Chinese discovered the greatness of McGrady because of his pairing up with Yao Ming for a few years. That honeymoon only lasted one season before injuries took their toll on both players just in their early/mid 20s. Both players were so amazing to watch when they were healthy and are two of my all time favorite players to watch. It's so sad that neither of them reached their full potential...

T-Mac with the 13 points in 33 seconds is the most legendary piece of Basketball prowess ever seen. That is why we play the games instead of leaving to beat the crowds... The commentators were wrapping the game up and had no idea what they were seeing. No one else has ever done that and no one else will ever do it again. And it wasn't like he was shooting lights out the entire game... T-Mac was actually having an off night that day.

Didn’t mention how the Magic in the 02-03 season blew a 3-1 lead to the Pistons in the first round. Also that Mcgrady never got out of the first round and choked numerous times in pivotal moments with terrible shooting splits. But have to give credit to him, he’s a good player.

Except he only scored above league average efficiency for 4 seasons his whole career, in Orlando. Every other season of his career he has been a volume scorer, but his true shooting percentage (TS%) remained below league average. Effortless? Many perimeter players alone were more productive scorers than him, including D-Wade and Melo, just to name a few. Stop overrating inefficient volume scorers just because they looked flashy doing it. But I know I'm about to be called a stats geek by some casuals who think their "eYe TeSt" shows more than actual facts.
