Thanks for the clear explanation. But not clear on the trade allocation. Post execution, the client (who initially gave the, say, Buy order of 1 million shares) sends the allocation details to the trading or executing broker to allocate the trade based on client's own mutual fund allocation. But who is the counterparty here?
@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ranjan, Client allocation means how many shares should be allocated to which funds. Counterpart on the trade can be Exchange (in case of On-Exchange execution) or another Broker in case of OTC execution. Although for client it should not matter who their broker is settling the trade with. Client will mostly concerned about how much of their order got executed. Hope this clarifies. Thanks Team Capital Markets Easy

very great video,but i have a question :What's the differeces between the trade details validation by MO and the pre settlement matching by BO.These 2 things seems similar. And what the omgeo CTM finished is belong to MO's work or BO's work?
@capitalmarketseasy3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Trade validation at MO is where they validate the trade for client details, bulk or split the multiple orders. Trade prematching is in BO when SWIFT messages are sent out to local custodies from back office systems. You can refer to separate videos on MO and BO functions on our channel. Until what step a client can cancel his trade? Until trade is executed (in the front office) or booked(middle office)?
@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Prasad, It depends on where the execution of trade is happening. If client's order is sent to Exchange and its executed over Exchange then it can't be cancelled. However, if client's order is executed over the counter directly with other broker, it can be cancelled at a later stage as well after execution after agreement between both the brokers. Hope this clarifies. Thanks Team Capital Markets Easy

@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Khushboo, Traders are allocated books so that their P&L can be tracked on those books depending on their sales and purchases. Depending on the trading strategy Trading books can be allocated to individual trader or a group of traders as well. Hope this clarifies. Thanks Team Capital Markets Easy

Once trade agreement reach between the parties, trader would execute the trade via OTC and input the infos into murex system?
@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Trade agreement can happen through various modes like phone, email, Bloomberg chat etc. If the trade is OTC, there is no external execution usually and it will be entered in their systems by both the parties. System can be Murex, Fidessa or some in house system as well.

Hi bro, what's the difference between unsettle and cancellation of trade?..Can you explain me
@capitalmarketseasy Жыл бұрын
Hi, Unsettling of trade happens usually in back office, where a trade settled in internal system is opened to make it unsettled reflecting that said trade may not have settled in market. This trade is still a valid (failing) trade. Cancellation of trade however happens at front office, where trader cancels the order in Front Office system and the cancellation then flows down to downstream MO and BO systems. @ironandzinc8 ай бұрын
@capitalmarketseasy a cancellation would also involve a reversal in the system and have an effect on any currency rates used in the trade, no?

Nice inside I have a question though, how come Validation come into picture after Execution and no before as provided in first slide... appreciate your advice. Thank You.
@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Bhushan Trade validation comes after execution as MO team needs to validate how much quantity of the trade got executed on the Exchange out of the total Trade quantity. Hence validation comes after execution. Hope this clarifies. Happy Learning Team Capital Markets Easy

where risk management comes?
@capitalmarketseasy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Nitin Although people usually say that Risk management is a back office department, however from our understanding risk management is more of an umbrella which actually covers the entire trade life cycle i.e. Front, middle and back office. Risk management teams are responsible to calculate and highlight risks from the moment a trade is executed till it is settled. So classifying risk management as one of the 3 functions can't be correct, rather it should be treated as a separate domain. Thanks Team Capital Markets Easy
