Your new car's and truck's, just like every other manufacturer today have become over cluttered, un reliable, cost to much to maintain, have become harder to repair, and just in general look ugly compared to how awesome they used to be. I'd like a truck that was just a truck with absolutely basic festures, no infotainment, no backup cameras, no automatic breaking or lane keep assist, no capacitive buttons, just a regular fm casette or cd radio with bluetooth possibly and a damn air conditioner with the old school body style, it would take 10k or more off the price if you people made proper simple cars and trucks...

Can tell you for sure that the new one will have a lot more issues down the line as those computers will begin to age. Can't beat mechanical/analog.

Like one time a 06 avalon with 523k of original engine and new trans at 406k. Bigger engine in a truck will be less stressed and I doubt a small and strained engine working hard with a truck will last as long as the latter.

I get the man’s sentiment for the 99 Tacoma. When you’ve had a good reliable truck that you’ve had a while it’s hard to let it go like a loved one passing on. Heck I was upset when my grandpa’s 96 Dakota was sold off after he passed, damn drunk driver did a hit and run on it, but it still survived.
