Very cool. I have a big brick of Kaiseido and enjoy it. It's relatively hard and needs some attention from the Atoma plate to raise a slurry. All I use are naturals. Thanks for sharing.

What is the best angle to sharpen a katana?

It depends on what kind of katana you are sharpening and it’s intended use. The swords in this video are works of art, sharpening is performed on different levels and it can take a couple of days to sharpen a sword. The cost is normally around 50$/3cm of blade but can go higher. If it’s a 200$ katana to cut pumpkins in the backyard it’s easier to sharpen but it still depends on the angle it was built.

The prices vary from 100.000¥ to 600.000¥ for most older sword, but for rare ones there is no limit.
