Chili powder මිරිස් කුඩු
Turmeric powder කහ කුඩු
Curry powder තුනපහ්
Salt ලුනු
Jaggery හකුරු
Oil තෙල්
Coconut milk පොල් කිරි
👉For Dry Fish gravy
👉කරවල හොද්ද සෑදීමට
Dry fish කට්ටා කරවල
Salted mangoes ලුනු අඹ
Pandan leaves රම්පෙ
Curry leaves කරපිංචා
Fenugreek seeds උලුහාල්

The spring season is beginning to end.. the mango trees are full of mangoes. We need to prepare for the coming monsoon soon. This preparation is to use our traditional methods to preserve mangoes... Yes.. you guessed right.. Another few beautiful days spent in an upland village in Sri Lanka in the 20th century.. Today's recipe is our traditional food recipe. My father likes this dish very much. My father has often told me how my grandmother used to cook these. Today's recipe is prepared in the old way without any change. It is our custom to knead these well by hand and cook them to taste. I mean this traditional taste. Grandma's taste.. බක්මගේ අවසානෙට තියෙන තව ගිනියම් හිරු රැස් අපිට කියන්නෙම ඊලගට එන පොසොන් වැස්සට කලින් කල් තබාගන්න පුලුවන් ආහාර සකසා ගන්න කියලමයි. කාලෙකට වරක් එන අඹ වාරෙදි අතු පුරෝලා තියෙන අඹ ලුණු අඹ දාලා දුමේ තියලා වැහි කාලෙදි වගේම අඹ නැති කාලෙදිත් යහමින් කන්නත් වන්දනා ගමනක් යද්දි බත් බැදගෙන යන්නත් ගන්න පුරු වෙලා තිබුනු අපේ අතීතෙට පොඩ්ඩක් යමු.. සීතල කදු මුදුනක ලස්සන දිය දහරක පහස විදිමින් ගෙවි ගිය වසන්තයත් පැමිණ ඇති මෝසම් වැස්සත් අතර ලස්සන දවස් කීපයක් නිදහසේ විදින්න ආවට අදත් බොහෝම ස්තුතියි.

Well , can a single still of a display poster , narrate an episode in full ..? Being together with the Grandmaa itself is a gift . Watching an innocent ( but , intelligent ) child , playing the role of the Grandmaa is - infinite happiness ! Yes , that single still of your goodselves , sitting like a Grandmaa ( the youngest Grandmaa we could ever meet ! ) holding coconut in both hands , gives a vivid narration of the entire half - an - hour cast in full ! A truely apt poster selection ! Mother Nature nurtures her children so very carefully that She provides everything we need with a signature so that we could read them correctly , as our Grandmaas did for centuries . Sour taste is the sign of long ( shelf ) life - by providing factors resistant to the pathogens of damp seasons . The flavour of fish & meat , dried or fresh, is the sign that activates the system to grind & digest . The flame of the chillies is the sign of the factors that churn and purify the blood and lymphatic fluid of the circulatory system ... and so on . But our Grandmaas knew everything very well. They bathed & washed in the holy & medicinal waters of the mountain streams , just like your goodself did . Yes , we have to recall the bygone centuries, as you ' ve rightly said , only then we can go forward , like one half of any forward - moving wheel always go backwards too . Thanks very much to all our Grandmaas - that includes your goodself too !! Thank you .

හරියටම අඹ කෑලි ටික හොදට වේලගන්නයි ඕනෙ. කර වෙන තරමට කල් තියාගන්න පුලුවන් . හොදට අවුව තියෙන කාලෙක නම් සති දෙකක් වත් යනවා. දවල්ට හොදට වේලුනත් රෑට ආයම ලුනු නිසා පෙගෙනවා. ඒ නිසා සතියක් වේලලා ලිපට උඩින් තිබ්බත් හොදයි. නොහොමත් තද අවුවේ සති දෙකක් වේලුවම හොදට එනවා. 🩷
