I had less ash then you and when I started the grill, it kept only 130F when I set 180F? I just cleaned it and now it holds 180F. To me it seems like we need to clean the ash after every fill up of pellets. I need to see what the manual says?

Yes, the ranger requires more routine cleanings then the bigger grills

Do you need to prime the trager again after vacuuming that part you did ?

If you completely vacuum it all out then it doesn’t hurt to prime again. I think we’ve been able to start it normal tho too.

How much smoke does the ranger give off? I live in an apartment and want one but I am worried about my neighbours getting hit with a ton of smoke.

I just got one and it doesn’t give much smoke off only in the beginning when you clean it cause the factory oils but after that smoking at 225 is damn near unnoticeable

Did you end up getting one? I got one for home and love it’s small size. Been using every week only for pork butts and briskets. Family and friends are very happy!

I live in an apartment complex, top floor, and have a balcony. I use it 1-2 times a week (just got it) and it hasn’t been a problem. electric went up a little but other than that, if you have a smaller complex, with chiler people, you will be fine!
