My son unfortunately learned these lessons over and over again the hard way and Bs’n his way through life until it caught up with him. Every ASP video that I have seen dealing with DWI’s refusing to take the sobriety tests are told that refusing will automatically suspend your license. Actions have consequences.

Damn, dude is crying like he’s going away for life. We all agreed to the suspension for refusing the tests when we signed for our license. HE chose to refuse and then drove suspended. He’s young and this isn’t all that. Own your choices, learn from your mistakes, pay your dues, and move on. And be grateful you got an officer who genuinely cared about your well-being. You got this bro.

Once you resolve yourself to doing what you have to… everything is surmountable. But some people need more reassurance of this than others. Challenges can make it harder to see or believe it… but it’s true none the less. Good to see the officer making every effort to help the subject see this.

This trooper is super compassionate. You don't see that very often. This guy would have taken off and it could have ended badly because of his mental state. So much of what the driver says stretches credibility. He would have been told what the ramifications of the first arrest and then to go and buy a car without a license and such a car on the pay of a call centre worker suggests a grave lack of maturity. Front line workers must be forced into dealing with people who fail to cope with the lowest standard of civil responsibility all too frequently.

❤ Actually, Trooper Guerra did the compassionate thing and allowed the suspended operator, get a ride because his insurance was good and it was registered. Plus he had the PC tint issue. Then he completely lost it and started to argue and cry about his situation.❤

So he got an interlock, but didn't file paperwork for the reinstatement after getting it put on? Or he was confused he needed to do so? At least he got an interlock. Hopefully he mentions this in court, and the judge works with him to get something worked out. Especially if he's been staying out of trouble otherwise.

Traffic stops like these that goes worse where car is towed, be worse stuff to happen, an creates homelessness, like half the homeless I run into in my life I've asked them how did you become like this, an they tell me their stories, most of em relate to a Terry stop caused it an they lossed their dog an rv, or lost car am in jail became evicted for no pay on rent bc of jail then loose everything.... like 3 quarters of that half ive asked be alcoholics, related to dwi. Its sad that there isn't a A.A. jail. Instead they put addicts with criminals an label em as criminals and just bc one wants to feel better in the inside gives a right for a cop to arrest that one.... its sad if you think about it. Tempting people to go to jail............ thank God this kid has a good mother. Since WHEN does Crawford County give ANYBODY a signature bond EXCEPT ex-LEO!?!? I lived there my whole life and NEVER seen anyone get a signature bond, with exception of Floyd Atwell who worked in and for the system for several many years, worked with Sheriff office, worked as court Bailiff. He held Lisa Mcollum at gunpoint bcoz she didn't want to sleep with him, granted she shouldn't have been in that situation, but she was having some major hard times and Floyd was known for doing anything he could to get a woman to give him sexual favors. Scum, and he was my uncle. The police finally figured this out. But did let him out on signature bond and gave him his gun back.
