Just got into MTB recently and living in Harrogate have visited Stainburn the last couple of weeks (after bingeing all your content)! The black ascent is brutal in the deforested section. You make it look pretty easy!
@TrailFinder3 жыл бұрын
Hi Aamir. It’s pretty brutal is the black climb. I’ve been up it so many times I know it so well. But you do need a high level of fitness to clear it. I show that climb a lot more on a recent video named (fitness training that’s fun) check that one out if you haven’t seen it.

The best part of stainburn is over the road where the second half of this video was filmed. There is lots to explore
@oakman5013 жыл бұрын
Unfamiliar maybe because some of his route goes through private property. There is some good routes that were built for when we owned the woodland and we did quad biking In there a few years ago. I would stay off the main track through the middle. It’s very boggy.👍

@@TrailFinder You're welcome. What you're doing is invaluable to people like me, being just down the road from your area. Trying to find places for my family to go for a serious ride, just using maps doesn't help much. My lad is only young so knowing what is ahead is incredibly important. He's outgrown fire trails so trying to search out the next step. Might have to one up your coffee in the van by bringing a BBQ in the pickup. hah.

There's a whole section I've never seen there!! Was half of that on the other side of the main road? You must've done some climbing putting this together.
@TrailFinder4 жыл бұрын
Elliot Marsters yes a lot of this is over road. And is the best part of stainburn.
@eliotrintoul89145 жыл бұрын
I don't recognise 6ish minutes onwards. I've only ever ridden the car park side, so is some of this over across the road? Feel like I'm missing out!
@TrailFinder5 жыл бұрын
Eliot Rintoul yes it’s over the road. And it’s brilliant. Takes a while to learn as it’s all natural. You are defo missing out. It’s really good. I mainly go over there and never really ride the car park side. It’s very wet in the winter so get your self there while the weather is dry 😁
@eliotrintoul89145 жыл бұрын
@@TrailFinder thanks for the reply. I had a look and am I right in saying you go up the road from the car park, past the descent line start and then keep going and it starts on the right?
@TrailFinder5 жыл бұрын
There are lots of places to access the trails. The closest is directly over the road from the entrance to the car park. And also where you said. Past the descent line and sort of head for the mast. When I’m back on the bike I will be doing an over the road only video 😁

How do you find the boulder bit on the trails. I take it that it’s over the road on the natural stuff, just not come across it yet

Are you on an E-Bike as that black run climb section is almost impossible on full sus manual (I prefer the longer black bolder downhill run) after the stove part of the video 5:46 I don't recognise any of the run/rest of video... where does that one start from as I am also local and the rest looks a great run?
@TrailFinder4 жыл бұрын
No just a normal bike. If you pause the video at 13 seconds. You can see the start of the trail at 5:46 on the left. Rest of the vid is over the road on the best parts of stainburn
