Hi Aamir. It’s pretty brutal is the black climb. I’ve been up it so many times I know it so well. But you do need a high level of fitness to clear it. I show that climb a lot more on a recent video named (fitness training that’s fun) check that one out if you haven’t seen it.

The best part of stainburn is over the road where the second half of this video was filmed. There is lots to explore

Unfamiliar maybe because some of his route goes through private property. There is some good routes that were built for when we owned the woodland and we did quad biking In there a few years ago. I would stay off the main track through the middle. It’s very boggy.👍

Mark Collingwood it is. But very enjoyable. Certainly gets you fit. All you need is 45 mins at stainburn for one hell of a workout

@@TrailFinder You're welcome. What you're doing is invaluable to people like me, being just down the road from your area. Trying to find places for my family to go for a serious ride, just using maps doesn't help much. My lad is only young so knowing what is ahead is incredibly important. He's outgrown fire trails so trying to search out the next step. Might have to one up your coffee in the van by bringing a BBQ in the pickup. hah.

Went there for the first time the other week struggled big time 😂, 65mph winds made it hard work made a mess of my pedals in the process!

It’s a great place to learn bike handling skills. If you can ride stainburn you can ride anywhere.

Eliot Rintoul yes it’s over the road. And it’s brilliant. Takes a while to learn as it’s all natural. You are defo missing out. It’s really good. I mainly go over there and never really ride the car park side. It’s very wet in the winter so get your self there while the weather is dry 😁

@@TrailFinder thanks for the reply. I had a look and am I right in saying you go up the road from the car park, past the descent line start and then keep going and it starts on the right?

There are lots of places to access the trails. The closest is directly over the road from the entrance to the car park. And also where you said. Past the descent line and sort of head for the mast. When I’m back on the bike I will be doing an over the road only video 😁

Phil Powell yes it’s over the road. Takes a while to learn over there as there is that much.

@@TrailFinder can’t believe how stable this was, I was certain it wasn’t on your helmet, just went to Stainburn for first time today, had 3 offs! 😃. There’s some ‘off piste’ sections that are better than the normal trail stuff. I’ll try get the sections for you

@@TrailFinder Probably true wouldn't mind giving it a go later in the year if we ever get some dry weather. At least I know someone who knows his way around.

It’s a very small place and not worth coming up to just do stainburn . You could do with coming up and doing a few things over a weekend

From the carpark. Go up the red. It then joins the descent line at the top

Ryan m this video just shows mainly the reds. Just take it easy you will be fine. It’s a very techie place to ride. I always say to people. “If you can ride here. You can ride anywhere”

@@TrailFinder it's demo ing some fancy full sus bikes. I ride in fast/tech trails but quite often loam and rooty trails. Not many rocks... Looks like a hard fall.

It is a hard fall. My last crash here was 5 months off work. Sorry maybe shouldn’t have told you that 😂 you would like it over the road on the unofficial part. 2nd half of this video is over there. Very natural

White Rose Adventures it’s a working forest still. So it’s just been harvested for the wood by the forestry commission. It has its advantages of been cleared. Lots of new lines have appeared. And the black has had lots of repaired and other stuff added

I have ridden there but the trails are poorly maintained and very short. Good fun though

@@mattybutler2455 are the trails in pannal worth a visit I live about 5 minutes away but never heard of there being trails in pannal
