Thank you for sharing one of our local eateries here in Townsend. I live here and live my little town so very much, it is a Blessing to live here. It has now been four years and I am still in love with Townsend. Hope you come back to see us again.

We always go through Townsend. We stop at the Woodcarvers shop. There's a flip-flop tree where lost shoes are hung or you can add your own. Happy Camping

Food looked wonderful.... Y'all have some generous fans..... That's so awesome...... And yes , u can hurt ur back sitting down.....It's called muscle Spasms...And they can hurt so bad it'll take ur breath....Ice packs can help some of those pains.....I feel for u tho....

Yes, we have some really wonderful people who watch us, and we are thankful for all of them. The doctor gave her some anti-inflammatory meds, and she seems to be doing some better, but still sore. They said she has degenerative disk disease.

We love Townsend, have gone there for years. Mike Clemmer has made several of my Mountain Dulcimers. Never been to The Trailhead. We'll give it a try.

We love Townsend the peaceful side of the smokies. We usually stay in Townsend whenever we are in the smokies. We have been by that place many times but we have neverceaten there. The food looks really good. We are going to have to eat there one of these times. Thanks for the review.

Continued prayers that your back improves Shawnasi🙏🏻 Husband has had 2 back surgeries & I have curvature of the spine so we can surely understand. So love your videos and appreciate the time and effort y’all put into them. God Bless and safe travels. Haven’t yet eaten at Trailhead but definitely plan to when we’re up that way again!

Best wishes to Shawn. We will be thinking good thoughts for her and sending prayers her way. We are going over to Charlotte to see family and are coming back through the mountains. From Asheville to Bryson City to Murphy to Cleveland to Chattanooga. If you had to pick one or two places to eat in the WNC mountains, which would they be? Seems like there is a lot of good dining there.

There are a lot of good places around Maggie Valley and Waynesville. We love the Haywood Smokehouse, which has a location in both Waynesville and Dillsboro. There's also one in Franklin, but we haven't been to that one. We also love J. Arthur's Restaurant, in Maggie Valley.

Trailhead in our opinion has the best steaks and burgers in the Smokies. We always eat there at least twice during our week there and we’ve never been disappointed. Praying for Shawnasi’s back. I know all too well how back problems are and I feel for her…no fun at all! 🙏

We have to make it a point and stop here and eat when we are in Townsend. Looks delicious. Have you tried the trout? I'm hoping its as good as the steaks. Thank you for sharing. Hope Shawnasi's back gets better. I am having issues with sciatica..not fun getting older. Lol

We have not tried the trout. I have gotten the steak all 3 visits, and she got steak the first 2, and the burger this time. I am sure the trout is very good, but we just haven't tried it. If you do, let us know how it goes.

Do they have outdoor dining? We’re planning to be there in October with our dog Otis! Always looking for pet friendly places!

I don't think so. The Burger Master in Townsend does, though. I would definitely recommend the Trailhead, though. If you can leave him in your room, or if it's cool enough to where he could be comfortable in the vehicle. We left our truck running with the air conditioner.
