An impression from the train voyages from the Kola in nothern Russia to St Petersburgh by train 21. And visit in the city.
Hopefully this train will soon be running again in this wonderful country with people we appreciate very much, freed from a blind immoral leadership

I was in Petrozavodsk a short while in 1987. I visited works on the construction of part the road from Petrozavodsk to Murmask. Although it was summer but the site was marsshy. But the people were kind and lovely

4:13 Котелок был разработан еще до Первой Мировой войны (по крайней мере, в общих чертах)! Вообще у меня эти прокопченные снаружи вагоны у меня ассоциируются с запахом угольного дыма, просто вижу на KZfaq'е эти вагоны, то уже чувствую этот запах, хотя KZfaq еще пока запахи не передает!)

Hey Kumar, its 1416 km or 880 miles, and takes about 24h for the ride, there are 2 trains a day.

Russia should build a high speed rail route directly to Murmansk going threw the town of Lodejnoje. the route to St. Petersburg tacs many hours on the journey to Murmansk and Murmansk is going to be a very important city in Russias near future with the opening of the Arctic. It takes 1 day and 1 hours to go by train to those 2 cities when it could take 6 hours or less.

we have choose, give less of money for a ticket and get a long but calm trip, or buy a plane ticket and arrive from Spb to Murmansk more faster and cheaper than by high-speed train.

My train left Murmansk at 7:30 and arrives next day 10:15 +26hours for 1420 km, on t the time table 24 till 26 hours cost between 42 and 86€, there is a morning and an evening train
