Not even a loyalty discount for owning TSW2, it's almost like DTG actively hate their customers and just expect them to dump money at anything they sell

I do like the dynamic weather and improved lighting. What i don't like is you don't get a free upgrade to TSW 3. We should at least get the core version. We should of got a new UK route but instead an extended route to a route we already have. I may of liked it if the extended from Faverhsam to Dover, Margate and Ramsgate to Ashford that way. So a bit of a dissapointment.

Crazy when you think that for 60 euro you get access to the whole planet in Microsoft Flight Simulator but in this you buy the game then only get 3 routes and have to buy basically everything individually for 20 ish euro extra.

When I moved over from TSW1 to the current 2 version all my add ons were bugged. It was 6 months of them not existing and me contacting the developers for me to get them reinstalled and even then, not all of them ported over. I won't make that mistake again. 😤

I don’t think I’m going to buy this until an absolutely irresistible DLC comes out. $50 for only one new loco is kind of ridiculous to me. I like new routes, but I’m more interested in experiencing different locos. Until DT starts adding vastly different locos to the game, I’m going to keep my money in my pocket and enjoy the stuff I already have. They’ve only been releasing just a bunch of Class 375 and Db BR 185 reskins recently.

I did end up purchasing the deluxe edition of this, given I didn't own either of the others and I thought 'what the hell, I have the cash to spare'. So, for me, I got 4 new routes, and I'm just hoping they add either someich cheaper things or just free additions for those who bought standard/deluxe.

I wish Dovetail were more like SCS who actually care about there games don't abandon them and actually listen to fans

Completely agree with everything you have said here. I never made the move from TS to TSW because of problems I was seeing with the bugs on release and the continued delays on the route editor. When they dumped the editor I had doubts they did it because of issues with development. This has confirmed my suspicions that it was control route release and that DTG are on a cash grab. Not bought a DTG product since they dumped the editor, but keep coming back and checking to see if they've changed. No such luck.

Surprisingly, it has aged really well and now most players including myself own it. Definitely worth it because of all the amazing upgrades that have come with, especially the US super bundle.

Soooo basic graphical upgrades, some UI changes, basic fixes that should've been in the last game for free, a few extra overpriced routes annnnd my hope for a good train sim world game shattered. How fun.

The problem is, if I want to buy any more DLC that get released in the future, I need to pay at least £30 for the game itself, to get a 1 stop extension to Ashford and a minor extension to Dartford, when I’ve already paid £40 for SEHS+465. Also it’s a bit bad to release DLC on a game 6 weeks before the game is superseded.

It'll be like rush hour, three routes for a little more than the price of one, but routes are rushed and shit and have 200 bugs on release

let's be honest dtg is probably being run by EA cause there is little difference between the two. While i think it's ridiculous for there to be a new game i do understand that it does cost money to make all the so-called new features (which should of come with the game when it first came out) .what would have been better is another season ticket style thing much like last year. I also think as they are going ahead with TSW3 they should give existing TSW2 owners a discount as they are again having to pay for the same game again, much like when tsw1 owners got a discount when tsw2 first came out.

It would be nice if DTG actually made it easier for third party creators like Just Trains or Armstrong Powerhouse to make content for it so people can actually get the most immersion out of the new physics engine. I can't understand why they [DTG] have to be so tight-fisted in not letting the community have access to the editors. That being said, I would love to see AP doing something like the Oxted Lines (using their class 205 thumpers) for a possible future release... or even the Wherry Lines. That would be pretty cool, I reckon.

The thing I hate about DTG's business plan is that they do not care about Train Simulator (Railworks). They have kept the game the same since 2015 when I bought it. The only things that have changed are that they've added some stupid camera filter that I don't know when you should even use, and the photo in the menu changes every year or so.. We need some ACTUAL acceptable DLC prices in all of their games and actual good quality of them. Like, if your country doesn't have a big community around railworks, then you're done for.

Only just bought TSW2 after years of playing and spending months and months writing my own routes for TS ... so not going to for out more money for a few 'enhanced' visual effects which could have been added to TSW2 ... as it is the same graphics engine!

I have SoS and SEHS already. It's interesting how I could choose the German or US starter packs and get a "free" upgrade to the 2 routes that I already have. But I'll probably end up getting the Standard edition. I'm looking forwards to the Class 66, apparently the sounds and physics are improved. "TSW3 Standard" is another route bundle, I like it although the price has gone up obviously. That new lighting and weather could be a bunch of fun.

Finally someone says it, TSW3 could easily be a "big update" instead of a "new" game, it seems to me a terrible decision, only for 3 or 4 improvements. Repeated countries, 1 new machine, few graphical evolutions, and no gameplay updates, where is the new game?

It's really naughty to do this especially with the cost of living crisis I am not wasting my time with this unless the game releases a route or loco local to me and/or I'm financially stable For now I'm saving up for 3rd party dlc on TS2022 during a steam sale

with rush hour routes performing so bad on ps5/xsx, i can't imagine how bad these will be with more intensive 3d clouds, dynamic weather, and routes that are over 2x as long. rip

Unless they do a extension to Calais France, it wouldn't make much sense to have a Eurostar train & only being able to drive form London to Ashford, btw it would only take about 15 or 20 minutes

The one thing that irritates me but isn't a game changer is the fact most the timetables on a lot of the routes aren't able to be fully completed. It's annoying seeing the whole route journey but not being able to do the full journey because it wasn't ever completed. I like knowing when I'm driving the train to be able to complete the journey rather than getting off halfway and forced to change to go back. The routes would defo be worth the money if they completed the whole route for these trains. I love train sim world, excellent graphics, amazing sounds (on some of them) and the dynamic weather changing system that's been implemented, but for me in a lot of ways it doesn't compare to Train Simulator, only for one big reason, that's the list of content you have at amazing prices if at all as some routes you can get free by download.. Still looking positive though having it on xbox in general 👍

I just started playing it a few days ago I am enjoying but I can admit I haven't played a train SIM game I would enjoy it more they went outside of London and do more of the UK if you know what I mean.

Do you know if old routes from previous games get transferred here as well? And will they be upgrade with the current TSW 3 systems?

Also I forgot to mention why the hell they couldn’t make coins to like buy trains for example you need this much coins for this train including a route making it easier to play the game and also should remove the trash starter train.

I can get deluxe for around $4 and this will be my first train sim game ever. Would you recommend it in this situation?

Dovetail guys are jokes their games are basically always cash and grab. Want extra track with extra loco? Pay another 20 - 40 USD for one DLC. After a year there will be like 10 - 20 Dlc's. It reminds me group of game developers which release the game and maintain it for 1- 2 years and then instead of large update which would deliver something they promised, they rather release "new" game and add number from 1 to 2 or from 2 to 3 etc. and ask for full price of new game which is nowadays somewhere between 40 - 70 USD :D

I would like to buy TSW from Steam. So TSW 1 is the recommended one right!? After a long gap from old Train Simulator I am trying to get this.

I love train sim world. But we get new version every other year. We have expensive dlc with only about five or six scenarios. On top of that you rarely get a new train just a modified version. I think with the content they have they should move to a subscription model.

I agree that it's a complete cash grab and so I refuse to even entertain it, unless a lottery win happens. There are alternative sims out there and I'm happy playing them, knowing that if there are bugs and whatnot, they will actually be fixed

See for me I don't mind the pricing because I own none of these routes so buying TSW3 for me is a steal as it works out cheaper then buying them separately. HS1 & SOS on TSW2 pricing is not far off from TSW3, plus HS1 gets that massive upgrade.

I'm interested in what my local station will look like in it, I plan to make a video on my channel comparing the TSW3 Ashford International to the real one, I'm probably going to be critical on it but who knows, it might come out good

Still, no support for 3rd party controllers and no Field of View slider to adjust the viewable angle, and other than the dynamic weather, the graphics are mostly static and dated (have you heard of Unreal Engine 5) - trees do not sway in the wind or bushes do not move when the train passes. Sloppy and lazy work by DTG. Consider Dovetail Games push out other train simulators - to me, this is just another money run for DTG.

I purchased it a few weeks ago, ( full price standard edition ). I think it's a good simulation game, however, I am not seeing the value in it. If I paid full price for all the TSW3 DLC is over $2,200 Aud! I am enjoying it but unfortunately the value for money is not there. I would love to get some more DLC's but even on special it all adds up and you don't seem to get a lot for your money.

this is why i bought an Xbos for MSFS - although people moan about it two - once you have bought something - if they update or add liveries - you get them for free having already bought the add-on. All i see isa more FIFA like interface which fools no one but thoselazy who somehow couldnt use the old one ?? wasnt in chinese was it. Also having paid for most of the trains they are offering - plus nonew country such as holland - spain- etc. makes me wonder what they do in the office. the last up grade was supposed to fix many issues - London brighton is still very slow for my PS4 - so i will wait till the dramatic sale price when this flops, or try it on game pass.

Hi that xbox thing of not pre order standard edition because it gonna go to gamepass day one is bullshit, stalker 2 is gonna go to gamepass day one and have pre-order for both editions, or at least it was on pre order before it was delayed

the thing i hate the most: no sound improvements to already existing trains (and the sound on the ICE 1 is garbage. it's meant to be the IGBT motors, meaning it has a linear and stable sound- but you can't hear anything in the first place) door animations (specifically on trains like ice 3, db br 101 and ice 2) are horrid (watching the doors open/close is what satisfies me a lot about trains) physics dont feel any better they didnt even change the hud. like, even THAT could be improved- but this game is just a port of tsw2 the game should've been free for tsw2 owners. this is because it's a goddamn port of tsw2- it's the SAME GODDAMN GAME. they shouldve just applied this game to tsw2

Takes the mick really. It's just pure laziness from DTG. Can't be arsed to fix the old game.... screw it lets just copy the files, add some minor updates we could have released as a free update, and sell it for double the price of the original game.

It wouldn't be so bad but I don't like American freight but because everybody else does I've got to pay the something I'm never gonna use it happened exactly the same one train Sim World 2 why do they keep putting American freight in why can't I put something like a different country why didn't they use the brains and maybe release something that had the option of having the American flight or buying one that didn't have the American freight I think you're right I I have pre-ordered it can't cancel it but to be honest I'm only getting it for a high speed I shouldn't be paying out again not unless they give you an option to buy without the American flight I've never used sand patch grade why can't they just bring something out for just friends lovers or just computer lovers bloody ridiculous

How much would you pay for a route addon? $30-$40? Weather addons for flight sims are quite expensive. So with the addition of a new route, Upgraded physics, and some other new features. I don't think that the price is out of hand.

It has been a complete cash grab , and now with the constant updating on highly un optimized DLC's , careless attitude towards their customers . Sold to French company . If I knew this back when I bought in to this I would have chosen not to buy the game , not worth the frustration .

It's a total cash grab they upgraded the game to unreal 4 for tsw2 we had to pay for it dlc was full of bugs and scarce for basically route extentions tsw3 is basically what we should have got when we got tsw2 unreal 5 is out and they have not upgraded so basically they want you to pay for the same game this maybe the end for them which is a shame as its potential especially if the went to unreal 5 with procedural graphics and layouts you could have the hole of the us or uk
