dude, these videos are the best thing a bored kid could have come across in the summer. You are a truly professional instructor and i see that you actually know how to instruct certain crucial things in a trick, which some people would let unnoticed. Im trying to learn a backflip atm, motivated by your tutorial, and trying to get someone to spot for me ;D please, keep up the good work, u are awesome. btw, greetings from finland :D

i appreciate your support! glad to see my tutorials are actually useful and not just for U.S.! yes, a spotter will definitely help, but you need to make sure they know how to spot and you guys trust eachother. good lookin out man. a big hello right back from California!

ahh yes... not the first time i've been told that haha. if i were a little more consistent with my video output, i think that would help, but i guess you can help me by sharing and liking my videos that help you out. thanks for the support Michael! it really helps keep me going

Thanks Taylor, you can always help by sharing this to anyone you think would like to learn to flip and enjoys bouncing around on a trampoline!

Wow! Love your videos and how they teach the proper technique in such a step-by-step way! A real refresher from the many other videos where they just brute force the flips! Gonna attempt your more difficult tricks!! (Y)

Man i remember back in the summer when I really wanted to be able to backflip. I watched this video over and over and eventually did one to foam, then a couple of months went by and I still didn't have the guts to do the flip on a trampoline, a new trampoline park opened in my area the other day and I managed to do one within the first 5 minutes after my friend persuaded me to just do it 😂 thanks a lot for this video

ahhhh awesome! i'm glad i could help. it still amazes me that people across the world are watching and learning from my videos! thanks for the feedback!
@NoPainNoJustice11 жыл бұрын
yes you can definitely do it. if you are throwing double fronts, its just a matter of getting comfortable going where you can't see. start with back pull overs and work up your courage to do the backflip. all you have to do is commit. i'm sure you do the same for double frontflips. good luck and ask anytime for help and tips!
@NoPainNoJustice11 жыл бұрын
thanks Lucas! i'm glad i could help. well this is most often due to fear. if you freak out, you naturally start to look for and want to get back on the ground. try doing back pullovers and work your way towards the backflip at your own pace. remember to use proper progression. you may need to work with an instructor to help you fix this, but definitely try not to throw your headback

ah well probably because i'm pretty new with these tutorials. only been around for a year or so, and they are slowly growing in popularity. and i don't think there are that many people out there that watch tutorials for shits and gigs. so i'm hitting the trampoline community with the best quality videos i can put out. keep an eye out for new ones man. i appreciate your support!

glad I found this vid. I just learned the backflip today, and I was getting cokcy because I thought I was doing good, but on my last attempt, I landed at an angle like the fail in the vid, except I went there other way and hit my head on the Metal part that holds the springs.

I think a good tip would be to show many examples of correct backflip form at the end of the clip so people can study what you're doing correctly

Really appreciate these tutorials, Today I tried front flips for the first time and was able to get them all the way around by using proper set technique. However i did misinterpret what you said about keeping your body tight, and landed with my legs locked and tweaked my lower back when landing.. also i wasn't sure if i should be landing with my feet together or separate.

Thanks Taylor! everyone works through fear at their own pace. you might need an instructor to help you through that, but i find it helps to have back pull-overs. i did a tutorial on that. but it helps you get the feel of going over backwards safely. check it out, try it, see if it helps. send a video if you got your backflip!

apart from trampoline, i also do freerunning and parkour. big drops don't typically scare me, and flipping is fun to add into big drops. in short..... lots of practice
@NoPainNoJustice11 жыл бұрын
sorry about the late response. sometimes i try to do it from my phone and it never posts. 1. you are not supposed to lean. 2. are you flipping at all or just freaking out and going forward? start with back pull-overs. this will help you get familiar with the backflip technique and get comfortable with going backwards

ouch! sorry about that. tight means engaging your muscles. locked means stacking bone structure which you should never do with a loose body. especially with added force (trampoline. jumping etc...) feet shoulder width apart should be your normal landing habits. it gives your a wider base and more balance/control.

Hi :-) I'm very exited about your tutorials! You learned me: Side flip, Front half / Barani, and Crash dive... But i have i problem on my back flip :-( I'm either throwing my head bak or leaning back or something, like u showed in the vid. How do i fix that, i tried to do how u showed in the vid, but i lost control and fell of the trampoline.... Please help me fix it :-) I liked and subbed :-P

more practice. keep in mind, you never learn something the first time you do it. but in order to fix a problem, you must first know that you are doing that... so check... you are aware of the issue. now try not to reach for the floor. as i said in the video, this is a natural reflex. its called self preservation. your body thinks it is in danger. but over consistent [proper] practice, the fear will subside and it will become easier

you need a spotter. seems to be the only way you are going to get past your fear. visit your local gymnastics academy and ask about classes or private lessons. unfortunately i can't help you more than that. you need hands on training

What type of trampoline do you have?
@NoPainNoJustice11 жыл бұрын
if you have your basic skills and are ready to move on, then you should probably get a spotter. preferably an actual coach at your local gymnastics academy. but if you insist on doing it yourself, start with backdrops and back pullovers. then all you have to do is commit. the reason you fell before is either because your technique was off, or you didn't commit. you are more likely to get injured if you don't follow through
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
+LiviTekk unfortunately i can't directly help you with overcoming fear. that is something you must figure out on your own. or have a spotter that knows what he/she is doing. you might just have to go to your local gymnastics center and get some help from there.

sometimes you just have to break the mental barrier and go for it. Know your limits though.

yeah this is true. you either push yourself past it, or get stuck. what works for one person, may not work for another.

@NoPainNoJustice11 жыл бұрын
well well... good ol' fear. the sad truth about that is you kind of just have to work past it. i learned these by myself a long time ago, and i too had that fear holding me back. this is natural and you have to learn to work with it. but yes! this can be very dangerous if you aren't ready. didn't you read my disclaimer??? but if you really need that little push, go to a gymnastics facility and seek out an instructor. that should help you work past your fear

COULD SOMEONE HELP ME??? I am having trouble getting over the fear of doing this flip. Is there any way that I could get hurt? I always ask my sister and she says maybe. I want to hear the answer from many people. I'm self-taught and know a great variety of tricks, so it should be easy to me. But still, is there anything I can do to get over the fear?
@freedomapoc10 жыл бұрын
In competition trampolining your backflip should open at 12oclock, you opened your backflip at 3..., opening too early is not a bad thing, its all about giving enough power for the backflip in the knees to be able to stand up right at the end of the backflip, could this maybe be updated in a new vid? :)
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
yeah possibly. i know you are right. but keep in mind most people are not competitive trampolinists, and that technique doesn't work so well for beginners, nor the type of trampoline in this video. there are lots of revisions i would like to make to my older videos, but i simply do not have enough time. i'm hoping that i do have some time in the future to redo a lot of these older videos. thanks Alex for the input i will make an effort to at least make note of these things in newer videos.

I reach for the floor. A week ago I could do a perfect backflip but then I lost my balance in a backflip and didnt rotate at all and landed on my neck... Im fine but now I reach for the floor and I cant help it. Im not scared of doing backflips its just that I reach for the flour automatical. Do you have any advise?
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
you may not think you are afraid, but your body says differently. its called self-preservation. your body thinks its in danger, so it reacts. it takes time and training to know and find your comfort zone. maybe find a spotter or go to a gymnastics academy and find a coach to give you some hands on assistance
@DOYOULIFBRUH9 жыл бұрын
I have a question I keep turning to the side how do I not do that
@NoPainNoJustice9 жыл бұрын
stop turning. if you video yourself, you will notice a change in your body line before starting. you control your body, so once you are aware of what is making the turn happen, stop doing that action :)

I used to be able to do backflips then one day i broke my kneecap and fractured my shin by landing on the springs , and ever since i have never been able to do backflips i always turn my head to the side and even that i fail . I dont know how to get over landing on the springs on my trampoline its (10ft) ???
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
xPeanutBUDDERx holy crap talk about a horror story! you are traveling way too much which means something is going wrong in your set/take off. you have every right to be a little traumatized and thats why your body doesn't listen to your brain. its called self-preservation. its gonna take a lot of practice and maybe even a spotter to help you fix it

I have a rectangular trampoline so will it be any different
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
not at all. its probably better than the round ones, but it shouldn't make a difference
@emilyparrish18329 жыл бұрын
Why is it better on round ones?
@NoPainNoJustice9 жыл бұрын
HeyI'm Emily Better "than" the round ones. rectangular trampolines give you more bounce (for the most part). the build gives the bed more even distribution power and you also have more room for error and travel if you do your skills on the long ends.
@THEMOHUSSAM710 жыл бұрын
i have a problem, its not fear. the problem is that when i do a back-flip i travel to the front, i used to know how to land in the exact same spot or land far backwards but now i am rotating too slow and im traveling to the front which causes me to land on the floor
@NoPainNoJustice10 жыл бұрын
forward travel in backflips (aka "gainers") means you are letting your hips come forward on your take off. one way or another. you could be loose, or doing it without knowing. set up a camera to video from the side and you will notice your hips leading forward causing you to move forward in the flip. to fix it, just be aware of the cause and control the body alignment. good luck Mohamed!

To learn a backflip try putting ur arm down and try make it a little bit more sideways until your brain learns the tecnique. after you feel ok with that try not to use your arm. (sorry for bad spelling)
@NoPainNoJustice8 жыл бұрын
well if you do that, then it might be hard to break bad habits. i think its more important to seek out good coaching, or be very critical about proper form once you have gotten over the fear of flipping over
