Same here! People like that... person, are so hilarious! I've been immune compromised for almost 15 years. I've gotten pneumonia from the common cold multiple times. I've never in my life felt that people need to worry about my health!! 😂😂

2:31 I believe what they're referring to is the death of Tyra Hunter, a trans woman in 1995. according to witnesses, a responding firefighter was tending to her injuries until realizing she was trans and then proceeded to mock her instead along with some of his fellow firemen. Hunter later died at the hospital where an investigation found that the ER staff was negligent about her care. It is a common misconception that the firefighter was a paramedic leading many to believe that the transphobic first responders and the negligent doctors are connected and that the hospital negligence also came from transphobia. Because of that, her story is told often in discussions about transphobia in healthcare as well as racism since Hunter was Black and was called the N-word by one of the firemen.

@insanecheapo195 HRT can weaken someone's immune response. My immune response is weakened by antirejection meds(kidney transplant). Hell, I go to the hospital every 28 days because one is an infusion. No one is masking and guess what I have never contracted.👍😁👍

I have an autoimmune disease (guillian Barre disease) that paralyzed me from neck down. If I get any virus or vaccine I run the risk of being paralyzed again. And I don't mask. Why? Because I got c0vid while wearing a surgical mask with gloves and being monitored by an auditor because I was a home health nurse. I have had C0vid 2x... the first time I was slightly short of breath and didn't even go to the hospital... the 2nd time was just tired... So no I'm not wearing a mask and not going to make others mask either

used to be an ICU nurse. with the exception of immediate threat to life, healthcare practitioners are allowed to refuse service to anyone. and as a former paramedic...yeah...she's lying through her teeth about all that shit. you literally will be prosecuted and sent to prison for medical negligence, malpractice, malfeasance, all that crap for refusing to treat someone. And I don't know a single EMS worker who actually gives a shit about any of this. Yes, they will totally make fun of you once you are out of their service, but your level of care won't be any different. You need CPR? Fine. You get it. Doesn't matter if you are my mortal enemy, I'm on duty and have a legal responsibility to act and provide the highest level of care I'm capable of. These people are beyond sheltered and live in their own reality.

My dad was volunteer EMS. He grew up in the town his whole life and there were people he absolutely despised because they were terrible people. He still did his job if the call was at their place. Not to mention that Good Sam laws require any first responder who sees an incident in progress to respond without risk of prosecution for malfeasance, AS LONG AS THEY ACT IN GOOD FAITH, much less the laws for standards of care from someone actually on the clock. That means doing the job to the best of their ability.

I am also an immunocompromised person who is disabled. I have a heart condition that has caused me to go into cardiac arrest multiple times and I was in a coma because I was without oxygen for an extended period of time. It took me a year and a half after the vaccine came out before I got it (I had to) and I never got Covid. Still haven’t. And I only wore a mask if necessary. That person is nuts.

Just look at all the poor detransitioners (specifically FtM, since there’s a HUGE wave of those). Moment a FtM begins balding and NEEDING to change their style to be more masculine to fit their facial hair, lack of hair on top, etc, you see the visible regret on their faces. Can’t wait for the day this internet trend passes and becomes “oh god I was so cringey back then.” Except yknow, it’s even sadder that these phases are irreversible.

For the Paramedics story it's a total lie from the TikToker. My brother is a paramedic, and they are used to crazy people, they can debate on tough subjects and make funny jokes but saving the patient is the only thing they care about if someone need them, no matter what. Respect the one you need if something bad happen to you.

@@chelsycordon6187look at how much Paramedics are paid compared to your specialist and you’d absolutely have to be in it for the right reasons. It is a high stress job and while, more often than not, most calls are nuisance (ride to the hospital) or simple, they never know what they are going to walk into. Where I grew up, someone started making false calls and sniping the first responders. Have never met a Paramedic who wasn’t there to help.

Doctors and nurses are more disconnected from reality in my experience because they stay in their bubble

I'd bet we're about five to ten years away from the flood of lawsuits over this. The novelty is wearing off to the point that no one really cares outside of desperate losers and the fear of being cancelled over being labeled a bigot is basically gone. Once no one pays attention to them and HR stops siding with them there will be no upside only a lifetime of suffering. There hasn't been any other case like it, and that particular case involved a black EMT. So it neither reflects "white supremacy" nor the "reality" faced by trans people.
