Transfer Images Onto Your Woodworking Projects | Quick Transfer Paper

I'm building a small rolling table with two shelf levels to hold my art supplies and drawing tools so I can roll it from table to table in my art studio.
I thought it would be a good idea to transfer images onto my wood project before going to the stain and clear coat stage.
This so far has been a fun project. See how we tackle this project using the RixCanDoIt Quick Transfer Paper (what else?).

awesome job, that is what I intend to do with designs, put them on wood and furniture.

Great result! I've noticed that with both wood and ceramic, if I don't cover the whole surface with the gel medium, even though it dries clear you can see the subtle difference against the uncovered parts. Any tips for this? My best guess is just cover the whole thing with the medium or glue before transferring, even if the transfer won't cover it all. Or maybe sand/finish the outer parts after.

When applying glue or gel medium to a wood surface, we have to expect that this will result in a 'coating' when dried. These things, although clear, are still a sort of 'coating' on the wood. So I would suggest that you don't cover it all with glue/gel medium when transferring, but to apply some sort of clear coat 'over it' after transferring.

You should stain your project first,unless it won't stick to stain for some reason but I think it would, I say this because now you have the excess gel medium all around your designs and the stain won't Penetrate the wood in those areas

Omg, so crazy--I've been looking for transfer techniques to make some signs for my Dad's nursing home room. My maiden name is Rix. So I love the Rix Can Do it! Wondering where you're from? My Rix family is New England Based. Just ordered your transfer paper.

Hi thanks for ordering the paper. It's packaged and ready to ship out tomorrow. Rix is just part of my nickname (Rixter). It has no connection to my family. Didn't even know I was appropriating a family name. Have fun making those signs for Dad!

if i dont have gel medium, can i use modge podge?

You can use ANY glue you like. If it will glue paper to wood (or whatever you are transferring to), it will work. Keep in mind that each type of glue will have different results (the dried glue look) on your substrate.
