If that is not the most dramatic ending to a Transformers series, I'm not sure what is. Even the original Transformers Movie death of Optimus Prime in 1986 was that dramatic. And it's even better how much shock everyone goes into. The Decepticons don't even know what to feel, they just stop attacking. And its even better that Bumblebee didn't even realize he could speak again, or understand why he was alive. He just simply grabbed the sword and struck down at Megatron. And above all, Megatron gave a perfect performance in those last moments--he doesn't say anything--he's just wheezing, breathing, and groaning, clenching the saber practically whimpering and pleading for this not to be his final moments, to be taken Offline by the Scout and not Optimus. Perfect performance--perfect death. Overall, perfect ending. All I have to say about that...just wow.

Anyone else think Starscream actually was sincere when he said "Lord Megatron! NO!!"? Cause I do.

One of the greatest death scenes ever. Frank Welker's trembling breath as Megatron's eyes flicker to darkness, gives me chills every time.

I wonder what Optimus was thinking as he saw Megatrons lights go off. In all the Series this two even as enemys had the most respect for each other. Megatron even would nobody allow to kill Optimus as himself.

One thing that STILL haunts me about Bee's short lived death in this scene is the horrified reactions from Optimus, Ratchet, Arcee and Smokescreen

I find it fitting that Bumblebee, not Optimus Prime, is the one to kill Megatron. We all assumed that Optimus would be the one to finish the warlord (because, y'know, they're the leaders of the opposing factions). However, of all the Autobots on the show, Megatron did the worst to Bumblebee, from beating him to an inch of his life (and crushing his voicebox) to invading Bumblebee's mind while his physical body was in stasis, Megatron and Bumblebee had the most bad blood between them. I also find it poetic that the last sound Megatron hears is Bumblebee's voice.

RIGHT IN THE FEELS

Its about Goddamned time. I think people, the writers especially, probably forget how powerful Megatron is. I know this is the "Prime" version and whatnot but in the original story Prime could stand against Megatron only because of the power of the Matrix. It does more than you think if you think its just a glowy smart computer. Megatron is a BEAST designed to kill. A barbarian if you will. I got so sick of seeing him shoot people and the shots would either just knock them down or bounce off harmlessly. THIS is what should have been happening all along. Steel ripping, gut busting, circuit frying, bad ass shots of doom.

When he lost the dark star saber I knew megs was done for, it's very symbolic meaning "the warrior has fallen". Btw the scene was shortened up or censored, bee put the star saber deeper in megatron and megatron tried to take the star saber out keeping the fight believing he could actually survive like he always have, the guy certainly had willpower.

Michael Bay, take notes. Learn to put some personality in your robots and stop shoehorning stupid humans for the sake of shitty dialogues and dirty jokes.

"Prepare to join your scout in the Allspark!" Very poor choice of last words.

We start with a close-up of Megatron’s face, his ever-present scowl replaced by wide eyes of shock and pained breathing. Then the camera slowly pans down to the source of his pain: the Star Saber’s Blade piercing through his armored chest and spark chamber. Traveling along the blade, we then see Bumblebee, who Megatron had blasted offline not sixty seconds before, holding the hilt with perhaps the most determined look he’s ever shown in his life. We can _feel_ the impact because of how slowly the details are presented to us, perhaps as slowly as Megatron himself could register them. Ace cinematography if you ask me.

The way Bumblebee fell, the Shocked expression on all the Autobot's faces, the dramatically beautiful music on top of it all, Megatron's glare to Optimus knowing that he just inflicted more pain to him than he had in the entire show, not to mention the music seemlessly transition back to action from just one note, and Optimus' "No" as he tries to avenge one of his closest friends death. And they say this is a kids show, that is dark as all hell and gives me chills everytime I hear Optimus scream.

I saw a mistake in the video after Megatron said "the star saber" after that bumblebee jumps and before that Optimus prime was still standing after he was knocked down.

Everything is perfect here, the music, the voice acting, Megatron's fall and the sad Look Optimus gives him as to seeing it as a victory but also a loss of the bot he once cared the most for

If you`ve seen the closing follow up movie that puts the series to bed you know this scene changes a little but not in my opinion, I found it most fitting that Megatron was defeated not by Optimus (seriously their like yin and yang one cannot literally destroy the other, never works), and allowed in the end for peace between both sides to finally come about, as well as end of the warmongering dictator, for that megatron never rises again.

Bumblebee getting destroyed was the saddest thing I have ever saw in Transformers, and I remember my reaction from like 3 years ago like it was yesterday. and if this happens in Transformers: The Last Knight, I will be so angry with Michael Bay.

This scene broke me as a kid. I was hurt to see Bee die, but then I was filled with a never ending hatred for Bumblebee after watching him kill Megatron. Still a shame the voice actor went on to work on rid. A huge step down.

I find so many things wrong with this, from how little Bee was actually damaged by those three fusion cannon blasts, to Megatron being killed by such a cheap shot.

I'm crying everytime I even think of it. I've got a fanfiction going where Megatron got an adoptiv daughter. She is my own character and a lot like me (except she's a Transformer) I've been thinking that much about her and all of the story that by end of the second TFP season I had already started seeing everything in the series from her viewpoint. So when Megatron died it felt like my father died. After I had watched the episode the first time I lied on my bed, crying for almost 20 mins. TT.TT
