Fun fact: the plots of the first 3 movies connect. The original plan of Megatron was to track down the Allspark which was sent into space by the Autobots to keep it from Megatron. When he got it he would meet up with Sentinel who developed the pillars technology and after finding the Matrix, they would help The Fallen enact his revenge upon humans and afterwards he would use the pillars to transport more suns towards the sun harvester machine which is activated with the matrix and then absorb the energy from the suns to power the Allspark which would in turn rebuild Cybertron and also give give the Decepticons the advantage of power. Megatron’s whole plan was to rebuild and then rule Cybertron. Sentinel’s was to work with Megatron to save Cybertron while Fallen’s was to get revenge because that’s truly all he cares about and Megatron served him to get guidance and knowledge and access to the sun harvester. Meanwhile Optimus and the autobots would rather send the cube into deep space at the cost of their planet staying in ruins longer, rather than let Megatron have it and become his slaves. I put the story together myself mostly but the connection between the sun harvester, matrix, Allspark and the pillars tech is all from tie in comics

The scene when decepticon been hunted reminds me of age of extinction.

It amazes me how these movies, released more than a decade ago, have more impressive special effects and CGI than most movies nowadays.

Transformers 2 was the most action packed

Fun fact about the CGI used in the movie, especially with the transformers themselves… the workload was so great that one of the computers used to render the effects went up in smoke. The situation was handled and fixed but still, it went up in smoke rendering the effects. And you know what, I 1000% believe it. These effects are truly mind blowing.

This was part of the peak content during childhood for me. It holds up so well years later and still will be a century from now.

How many of these little espionage droids do the Decepticons have?

Michael bays' movies plot is 100% garbage but action sequence and effects are probably top tier. I love how Michael bay has a top tier action,fighting,sound effects but the plot is something you would find generic.

Back when we use to wait for Transformers movie with same enthusiasm as for Avengers ...Now the love for them it's gone

I just wanted to point out, the military is fully aware of these dangerous foes hiding, and actively seeks to hunt them down secretly. But the moment the fighting starts, they are super ill equipped for the fight. Rather than using a gunship and raining hell on the decepticon before it has time to react and drive away, they roll up with infantry weapons designed to kill humans, not machines.

Some of the shots for this fight were filmed at the Bethel Steel Mills in Pennsylvania, an awesome industrial park/concert hall near where I live, really cool that one of the most nostalgic movies of my childhood had parts filmed so close to home!
