this is one more simple flower cane using translucent that we will combine with the other recent translucent canes in a project I'll release soon.

Stunning, I too love translucent canes, they remind me of parchment work. X

I just finished my cane, and it looks quite similar to yours. I can’t wait to make the next project! I’ve made all of the translucent canes, so I’m ready. 😁

You made a very pretty cane. I really enjoy translucent clay projects. The backfilling does look tedious, but I really get how important it is to take my time with it so it turns out like yours. I am really partial to flowers. It’s all I put in my garden. Maybe someday I’ll add some herbs, tomatoes and peppers. Anyway, I really appreciate your thoroughness when it comes to reminders and why things should be done a certain way. All I have now is Premo, but when I get going and use it up I think I’ll change things around a bit. I can think of projects where I might rather have the white Premo, but I definitely love the Cernit. Thank you so much for making your tutorials. I have gone out of order so now I am doing what you said and going back from the beginning. Katie, thanks again. I love your creative mind.

beautiful!!! I agree with some of your comments...I love the translucent...I don't see the point in complex centres nor canes that get reduced soooo much that the beautiful detail is lost.

Very interesting but we could not see it at all before you baked it. Do you bake the roll you will keep or you keep it fresh until you are ready to use it.? Thank you for sharing Katie

U could see how I was layering seeing the 3 little lines and circles were not the main part or at least to me it was the process of it more. If I baked it as a log i would never be able to use it except for as a log of clay so not not until I use it

Using a different color with the translucent would not have been a waste. Whitish translucent with white clay on a mostly white background with bright white lights does not translate well at all. At the end even the baked piece was tough to see. The one with blue behind it showed wonderfully but the rest of the video it looks like you're working with a white blob. Quite frustrating but otherwise a good tutorial.

Yup that's why I said when you work with good translucent like cernit or pardo they both are white sorry if it was hard for you to understand what you were seeing I make the flower white for the project I did later if I made it a different color it would have shown better but it was not the look I was going for in my later video so would have just been a waste of clay to make a cane I wasn't planning on using for a free video sorry tho

I caught the comment about the clay. It was just a frustrating aspect of a visual tutorial that is otherwise great. I took notes. Thanks for sharing.
