I totally understand the struggle with the patient that was late. I used to have people when I was working food service, that would order something for 10:15am and not show up until 11:00am, then complain that it was cold. Or the opposite. They’d order it for 10:15, and show up at 9:30 and be mad that it wasn’t ready. People are crazy.

This was similar to Samathas rose quartz tutorial but I had no idea that you could do it with so many other mediums. You are a true artist to be able to see it in your mind and then put it into action. You are just amazing Katie and this looks FANTASTIC...!!! I will watch some other tutorials if it’s a certain effect I really like and would like to learn and I too watch ‘Clay Zoo’...love his stuff!! Can’t understand a lovely word he’s saying and I’m so grateful when he uses English sub titles...yay!! But you sweet girl are THE ORIGINAL...!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - you are a wonderful ARTIST!!! Thank you for this awesome technique. I learn something (sometimes more than one thing...) new with every one of your tutorials. Thank you very much. 🥰💞💋

One more thing, it's hard for me to believe that you've only been doing polymer clay for such a short period of time because you are SO talented (imho) and your work comes out so professional! Yours are one of the very few videos that I look forward to seeing every day. It's very therapeutic and inspiring. I want so much to get started learning how to make things with polymer clay but I'm on SSDI and it will take me a while to gather enough of even the basic tools and supplies to start making things. I think stocking up on food and supplies right now is priority so it will have to wait. Take care and keep on claying! ☺ Just finished washing the video. Those came out really pretty Katie! Massage therapists, hair stylists, esthetician.....we all understand your vent. As a massage therapist, something has to give and I usually just skip something but make sure to inform them of why I skipped it. I don't let them make the rest of my day crappy because that one person doesn't have respect for other people. Don't let them have that power over you. I'd notate what you skipped somehow so you know what to hit next time and skip something else. And right now, I'm sitting at home watching videos wishing I had a client that was late. 😁. But it's all good. There is a reason for everything. Sorry you got into trouble though. Some ppl are just 💩💩. I hear you, I´m always at least 30 min early (usually 1h) to ALL appointments, just in case if someone before me is late, then it gives them the option to switch times with me, and I don´t mind waiting :) and if something comes in the way that will make me late, I know it early since I always have 30-60 min wiggle room, I call. I don´t want to waste other ppls time, especially when it comes to dentists, doctors and such, it´s rude not to value their time! The pendants turned out gorgeous! :D 💜 all of them!

No apology necessary here. 😊 I'm so sorry that that jerk did that to you but I agree that you should leave build up on his teeth so if he gets a cavity that's HIS fault not yours. I am OCD, type a AND a perfectionist and I take pride in my work so I know how hard it is not to do a half-assed job. I used to close the floral department at Safeway years ago and clock out and go back to work for no pay (even thogh I could have lost my job) just so the person that's opening up the next morning doesn't have to clean up any messes that I left. @katiegordon610
@katiegordon610 3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on a few things how smooth the piece is before baking how smooth u want it or the finish u want if u r going to buff as well. If I do like normal w buffing I start at 400 and go only to 1000 maybe 1500 if ur not going to buff a high shine then it may take sanding to alot finer of a grit but u may have to play w it i wouldn't go less than 400 it scratches alot lower than that so like 400 600 800 1000 1500 so on

Jerk patient is actually a very passive-aggressive person and showing his contempt for your time and professionalism. It's a power play, and I would be tempted to tell him to go pound salt. Fortunately, he solved it for you. Life is too short to suffer fools like that. If he does come back, jab him in the gums! (Just kidding)

I hope that didnt come across as snarky. Comment tones are open to interpretation and I re-read it and thought it sounded a bit bitchy. I honestly hope you didnt take it as such. You are loved in this house. My kids and my hubby are now fans!

It's narcissistic abuse what the patient did. I've been late wasn't you that was the problem. Half assing a cleaning isn't ok. I get sick of this for profit crap where they cut & still bill a ridiculous amount. My dentist showed me a Wikipedia page on root canal had a fractured tooth from a fun domestic violence incident basically I paid over $2000 to give myself an infection that is still there after someone else physically harmed me who never should've put hit hands on me in the first place. Tired of paying for entitled, abusive narcissistic abusive assholes. I understand the frustration and having pride in your work bring honest does matter.
