It's an amazing game and debatable one of the best Fallout games out there. It's aged very well in terms of graphics and the story, plot twists, characters etc all play a very vital role. It's a really living breathing world of dark humor, politics, power and to a degree self importance. I'm sure you will have a great deal of fun.

It can really be hard to decide sometimes between two great weapon. I tend to carry weapons I like with me always but sometimes I do have to make the hard decisions between two weapons simple because I limit myself to one good weapon.

That quest is incredibly buggy but he has soooo much ammo for sale and you get that discount. It's worth the hassle

I totally agree. Fallout has always had some cool named weapons such as The Justice, Vengeance, Love and Hate, Board of Education, Lucky......the list goes on. It's nice too since the weapons then sort of have their own backstory and lore.

That's fair enough, and it's not something I knew about. I don't tend to use chems alot but sometimes feel like I am missing out on a lot of fun. I do but only at certain times or when playing a certain type of build. Anyway, good shout, thanks for sharing.

@@TrappedInFallout No problem man it can be pretty fun if you don't mind getting addicted and/or carry a good supply of fixer, but yeah lots of people miss that little detail because they mostly go the easy way of getting This Machine, and it makes sense for his character because he's the shady guy that can get his hands on the harder to get items in the camp. Also, chems can be useful if you play low charisma builds by popping Party time mentats+Moonshine+alcohol

This is actually worth getting. It does pack a punch and can easily be built around for a more rounded and fuller sniper build. It can also be used as a rifle build. I do tend to use it as part of my builds when I go with a ballistic playthrough.

Christine's is really good. I love the look of the Gobi, though.

Try this sniper build, if you're using stealth and medium or long range. *Raw damage, no crits or sneak crits* x2 damage vs enemies: Very Easy x1 damage vs enemies: Normal x0.5 damage vs. enemies: Very Hard Headshots: Double damage vs most enemies with a head, minus enemy DT and DR. | Center of Mass: +15% damage in VATS vs the torso. Easier to hit torsos at longer ranges, with no accuracy perk investment. Not that throwing or heavy weapons have accuracy perks other than Lonesome Road or Camarader-E. Hot Blooded (trait): +15% damage and -2 perception and agility while below 50% (49.99%, or around 272 hp with 10 endurance and level 50). Bloody Mess: +5% damage vs all targets. Lonesome Road: +10% damage, and vats accuracy when travelling alone. Eye for an Eye: +30% damage with crippled torso and legs. | +50% with crippled arms, legs and torso but reduces accuracy in VATS and out with scoped weapons, and melee/unarmed damage by 10%. | +60% with full crippling, but a crippled head significantly lowers perception and its governed skills, accuracy in VATS, and causes a blinding visual effect outside of vats frequently. Thought You Died: +10% damage. Lord Death: +4% damage. Psycho or Slasher: +25% damage Yao Guai meat: +10% damage

It's a solid weapon and really worth getting. I personally have it with me until I get some great alternatives such as the All American or better yet, aneatlier weapon The RatSlayer.

Thanks so much for your comment and feedback, I really appreciate that. Sadly yes, that is something that can happen. Basically as a weapon is being used by a companion, as they use the weapon the condition decays and as a result they may pick up other weapons. They can also have weapons shot out of their hands by enemy NPCs which may also result in weapon loss. It's sort of a cool mechanic but at the same time it's an easy way to lose some good gear. Sadly the only way to retrieve your gear might be to revert to an old save file.

That's totally normal. I've done exactly the same thing with a number of weapons in the past. I would get something not knowing that it was unique, store it and then find out that it's something unique. That's the beauty of Fallout games, you may one day just look through your stash of weapons and armors and find a little surprise.

That's true and it's a great way to get a fair amount of ammo. I personally use the Ammo swap glitch and that way I am able to pretty much use any weapon with any ammo, or rather almost any weapon.

I will have to admit that some of the sound effects from a number of weapons are great. The Mysterious Magnum for instance has it own theme song.

I prefer 'This Machine' because of how many bullets are in a magazine plus the faster reload animation, but I can def understand if someone likes the Gobi rifle better.

That's a great question. They are both good in their own right. Personally I prefer to go with This Machine when the enemies are sort of short to mid range away from me. They are closer to me so I like to get in a few shots which usually does the trick. If on the other hand the enemies are super far away then it's got to the the Gobi. It has less fire rate but with that amount of damage, a well place shot can also do the trick.

Gobi. If you have Gobi, the Machine becomes obsolete in every way possible.

Thanks awesome Reckless. I grow up in the UK, still am so I never really had the experience with guns. In fact I only ever used one for a very brief moment when I went on holiday once and that was my sum total experience with any form of gun. And to top it off I almost shot myself with it. Probably best I stick to virtual game guns I think 👍

I did do it recently but it took me a few attemps to complete. I recommend saving before starting the unmarked quest, and you need 50 science, 70 speech and a high barter skill or 100 pieces of scrap metal. First you need to help Contreras until you reach the point where he asks you to obtain medical supplies from blake, then you need to pass the science or medicine check to figure out the items can make addictive chems. Next speak to the ncr ranger at miguels pawn shop. You will need high speech to convince him you are unsure of the corruption. At this point you should be able to turn in him to LT Boyd, then speak to Contreras through the cell door, and lastly hack the terminal and Report the weapon shipment manifest to LT Boyd.

To my knowledge there are basically two ways. One shown in the video and the other is a little more involed but not really much more complex or easier (I think).

Hey FIDreams, thanks for your comment and feedback, it's a fair criticism. I actually try to make my videos as short, clear and easy to follow as possible but I do see your point of view on this one. As part of my videos, I like to show clear paths and if I edited things out then it would only cause folks to be unclear exactly where to go. We really only do two things, unlock a terminal and talk to a single NPC but without showing how to get there it would have been a little confusing to folks.
