Always finding the good stuff! This "kid" took 2 of the Easter baskets 😊

I went trash picking for the second time in my life today. I met another lady who was doing it. She gave me a copy of the town map showing what days the garbage men came so she goes the night before or possibly early in the morning. She told me that she collects enough stuff to store in her 2 1/2 car garage that she has two yard sales a year and literally is wiped out of stock. Some pieces she paints or stains to try to get more money out of. She said she doesn't get rich but the last sale she had on 3 days she made a bit over $2,000 with everything. That's not a lot she said to many people but that will pay my electric bill all year long. Furniture and bicycles go the fastest. She tries to make "sets". A box with 8 plates, 4 glasses, 4 coffee cups.... then fills it with other kitchen items to make starter sets for young couples. They go for $20 a box. She gave me some really good idea's. My first great pick was a 6 drawer dresser. The other day I got two bicycles and already donated one to a kid whose parents were out of work. That little guy has ridden it everyday with others up and down the sidewalks. It's always a pleasure to sit back and watch your video's. Sometimes they give me idea's and sometimes others give me idea's I try to use around here. I watched Paper & Moose find a cardboard fireplace and she was like a child that just woke up Christmas morning. She finds some really cool items.

That desk and chair have been together for a long time, so please don't split them up. Thanks for another fun video!

The roll top desk is over 100 years old. I inherited one exactly like it from a relative. It is a student desk. I was glad you rolled back the top so I could see that it is definitely the same inside and the chair is the same too. I’m sure it came as a set. I gave it to a cousin as I needed to downsize, but wanted to keep it in the family.

He Taco nice finds you have. I love that old desk and chair. Usually I do not want to "advice" you how to do things, because I do not know more than you do. But that grey stand, you want to make in a project piece... I would put a wooden board on the bottom of the space, where the drawer would have been. Than you create an open compartment. All in one colour, like you said, and it is a top piece.

On the little roll-top desk you can improve the action of the tambour top by rubbing a skinny wax candle into the groove on both sides that it rides in.

The wood slats on the desk is called a tambour.

Taco, but a bottom in the grey stand and it will have an open shelf, someone would love that if they redid it to their specifications.👍🏻

I'm sure there's a rectangular basket you will come across that will fit the drawer space. Just put a support board, paint it all the same - drawer!

For the table missing the drawer, I'd take some wood measured to cover the drawer, paint it the same color and bingo, its a side table

The black one is a telephone stand. The phone book went on the little shelf. Super cute. And that rolltop desk is to die for!

To lubricate anything made of wood, rub the contact surfaces with some canning paraffin or an old candle. Sometimes works well with metal too.

Amazing amount of videos! That’s what I’m trying to do with my time lapse videos and unboxing videos. Keep up the hard work man. I’m always telling my wife. We have to do the work. We may as well record it so we can monetize that effort over time in a video. I wish I could have recorded all the work I’ve ever done in life.

You can cut things out of weatherproof vinyl on a Cricut if you know someone who has one. You can customize it to say what you want.

Keep going with the high quality content dude! A friend of mine was a garbage man in a VERY posh neighborhood and furnished his house with free stuff. All high end and all in perfect condition. It's fun to see what you find!

Great day out despite the breeze. Good to see Brou Stacks helping out. The grey table thing, get your tools out fabricate a shelf into where the drawer is to be and create a cubby hole area, for storage, I amost said for a phone book, but many people don't have them anymore 😊, may look better than being open. Could be another Taco crafting video. Rolltop & chair looked good also, little cleaning with Murphy's oil could make it pop. 👍👍

On the gray table, put a wood bottom on the drawer space and add a nice basket instead of the drawer. Maybe even add an antique glass knob. Love your vids!

That sml. red wooden, shelf, on it's side was another thing you may have used for sml. things in your storage area or sell. It was w/all that furniture. You, do crack me up though, noodle brain. Yes, the desk & chair go together, that's called a set. Try some furniture oil, to wipe on that roll top desk & chair, it will come to life, take a candle stick (cut to fight) & rub it in the track, where the roll top goes up & down, a few times; then push the roll top, up & down a few times, that will make a smoother maneuver, when putting the roll top, up & down.

You should put at least three bins in the back of the cargo box to put small items so they don't get broke or they may roll around at least three bins hook all together and you'll still have open space to put your bulky items

The stand missing a drawer is a really nice, vintage piece. I would nail or glue a thin piece of wood to the underneath and paint the inside a complimentary colour. A wicker basket could then be placed where the drawer would go to give a finished look to the piece. Nice score!

When you pick up wooden pieces, like the roll-top desk, and it doesn't move freely, find some bees wax and rub it into the slide grooves! It will make all the difference in the world!

I love the desk and chair. Could you add a shelf to the little blue table ?? Then it would be an open shelf table. I think it's cute the way it is. We went junk picking Tuesday and got an older stovetop popcorn popper my husband was excited about that.

For the nightstand missing a drawer, just put in a piece of wood on the bottom and it can be an open shelf. (and yes paint it all the same color inside the shelf).

The small gray stand....you could cut a piece of board and put across the empty drawer spot and paint it. If you dont have gray you could even paint it black if you have it. Nice video. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe and God Bless

We have an old roll top desk exactly like yours and you can take a thin piece of soap or a candle and rub into in the slot that the tambour rolls up and down in several times, open and close the tambour until it gets easier to open & close. It really works. Great finds !!! PEACE and Be SAFE!

The little table/nightstand you passed up at 8:55 was likely made with the "dents/holes" ... to simulate antique furniture .... distressed "worm holes" made by the manufacturer.

Walking in the middle of the road really has bothered me, then I looked at the sidewalks where you were driving. They were a mess! Heaved up all over, easy to trip, hard to have a nice walk. Are they like that all over town? This might be the reason.
