Most herbivores are actually far more aggressive than carnivores since they can replace the calories they spend easier by grazing. So Connor's right in that a deer, moose, or elk wouldn't hesitate to beat the shit out of you. However, bears are more omnivores than they are carnivores, so a bear also wouldn't hesitate to beat the shit out of you.

Polar Bears are absolutely terrifying because they actually legit see humans as food. And they don't roar or announce themselves like other bears do when they are in the presence of humans. They chase you calmly because they plan to rip apart and eat you alive if they can get a hold of you and they are almost always hungry.

Luckily, I live in a place where the risk of running into either is not a thing.

As someone who grew up around deers, I find Connor being scared of them hilarious. Deer won't hurt you... intentionally at least. Most of them will run the second you get within feet of them. You like would have to legit try to piss off a male during heat to get them to attack you lol. As for elk, a little bigger, but still chicken shit. Now back to my part they won't hurt you intentionally..... the biggest danger they pose is running out infront of your car which could possibly kill you, 99% more likely just to cause a lot of car damage. As for Moose, why did I leave them out.... THEY ARE SCARY MOFOS! They are one of the MOST dangerous animals in North America. They do not give two fucks, they will charge at you. As for vehicles, they also like to run out infront of them but you are most likely going to be dead

Depends on if we're talking cars or not. In the US, on average, deer kill 200 people per year but most are car accidents. Though they kill about 2 people per year by attacking people but send many more to the hospital. Bears average 1 death per year. So Connor is technically right...

Bears can; outrun you, climb trees, maul you to death with claws. They can also smell you before you find it, but they usually try to stay away from humans as much as possible (in my area at least) but might attack if you catch it by surprise and try to run away. (Running away = weak, therefore easy food.) I don't know much about deers, but in my experience, they usually run away after they realise there is a human close.

I live in Canada. Grew up on an island with lots of bear and moose. Unless you're in a mating season or its starving bears avoid you at all costs. Moose do not. They're territorial and run you down and end you. They can flip cars.

Deer will try to avoid you unless feeling threatened, or feel like they're protecting something. Black bears are usually not that dangerous. Grizzlies will chase you down, knock down trees if you climb them, knock down doors and hunt you down just because they think it's fun. The predator that Connor is talking about hunting him down forever is not a deer, it's a grizzly bear.
