Oooh your food always looks so good at Morimoto! So sad about your bag and keys etc, it must have been super stressful at the time, good to hear it was all sorted so smoothly. And how fab that you caught the 100th bus before you left Pop - no lines for characters is very magical indeed! Thanks for sharing your day with us ❤

That bus is amazing! We were so fortunate to luck out and get to see them mooching about. Was a lovely end to our stay at Pop. And that was one of the most enjoyable meals at Morimoto. Everything was on point. Very lucky to have gotten to eat there again. Hope you’re both well xx

Omg!!! Those ribs looked amazing! 👌 worth the price just for them. That mug was very you Ian, the 71 style pattern. Nightmare about the car and camera but as you said no one was hurt just not what you needed 🤦‍♂️.

Happy new year. Losing something whether stolen or not abroad is such a hassle. I had a bum bag stolen once on a remote beach where nobody spoke English in Ibiza and lost my glasses, car keys and before mobile phones. Look back and laugh.

Those RIBS!!!! amazing. Great Vlog . sorry for your troubles though , that hadda suck ! i lost my drivers license in Animal Kingdom. I had images i was to be held captive in Orlando...( i wish )...but it worked out. Still feel panic when i think of it!. anyway ...those RIBS!! ( be there 2/20-2/23 . Have to have em! Oh no! Hope you got your license back ! David left his passport in his shorts and put them in the washing machine in San Diego. We had to do a day trip to the embassy in LA to get a temporary one. Losing official documents is such a stress! And yes those rubs were amazing. Expensive, but amazing! Have an amazing trip next month ! X

Hi both, I really enjoyed the vlog. I'm so sorry to hear about the camera and the car keys. That was awful. I love it when you visit the pin shops. It's like watching David in his spiritual home. He's so happy 😅. I bought myself the Mary Poppins bag pin when I was there in October. It's beautiful 😍.

@MrDavidMrIan No, I've actually only got a few pins, to be honest. They tend to be from my favourite Disney movies. I also bought the Grape Soda pin and a couple of Nightmare Before Christmas. I adore them all. You could go crazy in the pin shops. There are so many beautiful ones to choose from x

Thank you - and that’s a very good question. We’re unsure. However we have only ever bought cases recently in the US. So it would have either been from Target, Walmart or TK Maxx... whichever had the best value at the time. But we have noticed that the prices have gone up so much in the last few years. None of which helps you for your May trip. Sorry! And congratulations on you dog. Hope they’re settling in and living their new home x

Hiya 🤗 That was so lovely seeing the characters at Pop, the same thing happened to us on our last day back in Dec, it was Chip and Dale, Donald and Goody - it was so lovely for them to just pop by and mingle with everyone 😊 Your meal did look super yummy at MA, expensive but worth it I think. I know you’d already told us about what happened about that day in a previous vlog but I cannot imagine how stressful that must have been and it does play on your mind as to whether your dropped the stuff or whether some 🤬 pick pocketed you 🙈 Love the look of the oakwater resort - super spacious, apart from that red sofa blocking the way 🫣 I’ve not had the best week, really lacked motivation but I think it’s just the January blues. I’m just going to have a chilled weekend and keep warm 🥶 I hope you have had a good week and wishing you a lovely weekend ♥️ xxx

Awww, sorry to hear that the January blues have kicked in. We get it. We’ve also got puppy blues! But taking some comfort that the sun is setting later and by next month it will be setting after 5pm. That’s something we’re looking forward too. And it’s good to know that they have characters roaming outside Pop regularly- we hoped they did. It’s such a lovely perk! Pop Century is awesome, we did see you there on one of the days but you appeared to be in a bit of a hurry and we didn’t want to disturb you. Sorry about your loss of your equipment x

Hello chaps! You should have said hello! 🤦🏼‍♂️ And Pop is awesome isn’t it! Would love to return at some point for sure. We initially booked the Oakwater property through vrbo.com but as we had been before they contacted us and said we could book direct with them - but last time we looked the place was still listed on vrbo so we’d suggest you start there. (There was also other properties at Oakwater on vrbo - some nearer the club house and facilities and others with a different layout and rooms). It’s definitely a super convenient location for the parks IF you can overlook the queuing on the motorway during rush hour. Hope you get something lovely sorted! And thanks ever so much for watching x

Oooh we had a too run booked but have cancelled it (again). Hope the lines aren’t too long! And yes, without that roadside assistance it might have been hefty. They didn’t even charge us for the petrol we had used. The service was amazing. A silver lining to a challenging day!

There was a drop in the pit of my stomach when it happened. More for the car keys and the logistics of trying to resolve it - and we were with family on their first proper day, so felt so bad that we’d screwed up a day of their trip too 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hi Martin We book through uscarhire.com They offer the separate $35 roadside assistance irrespective of the length of the car hire duration. And we booked through Vrbo.com for the apartment originally, but as it was a returning booking we had the option of booking with the owners directly as they were happy to have us back. But it was still on vrbo.com last time we looked.

Was the $35 a one off payment or is it so much per day for coverage?

Hi Edward, it was $35 for the duration of the car hire when booked with uscarhire.com We’ve always paid it every time we have a car with them just in case. Breaking down or having and issue in the UK is a hassle. Having it happen in a different country brings a whole world of inexperience to the situation so it feels like $35 was always worth it. And in this case it would have cost more than that to replace the gas we had already used.

It was odd that the whole side of my bag was empty and the zip open. We had dropped the camera previously and you heard and saw it fall. And when you see people drop something from their bag on the street there is always a noise and people around you rush to help pick things up - and there were 7 of us in our group and none of us heard or saw anything, and there was nothing handed in on any of the rides. So it feels like they could have been stolen. I guess we will never know.

Yeah. Odd that everything in the bag was gone and there 7 of us in our group and none of us heard anything fall. Car booking was through uscarhire.com and at the point of booking you have the option of the $35 roadside assistance that is valid for the duration of your rental.
