I’m once again amazed what a small town offers. Great pub and wonderful swimming pool and spa. They probably have the place packed In the winter I would imagine the caravan park prices help run the pool. Nice lookout. All that trouble they went to in the middle of no where The lights show They know how to charge alright the place looks very tidy and the park looks really good. Not a dust bowl like some that crossing was definitely 3d. It makes your eyes go funny looking at it once again a great informative show guys 👍

Hi guys I really enjoy your channel,I'm a Aussie myself living in dry country N,S,W . Just leaving my comment on flies trying wearing lighter colour clothing cause little black flies are attractive to black and dark colours. Plus they love sweat on people. They live off your proteins in your sweat. I hope that a great help try lavender or peppermint oil or spray . Safe travels stay safe .

Will be a strange day if Jon wears lighter shirts lol. We do have fly nets but keep forgetting to pack them from the caravan to the car. Maybe we should buy another set. I will definitely try the oils as I have Doterra in the van. Thanks for watching

The smaller black and white bird is a peewee and the bigger one is a magpie. During Sept watch our for the magpie, they like to swoop you. Always wear a hat and something to protect your eyes.

Impressive that John can still remember the lyrics of Green Acres! The Dreamtime sculpture reminded me that in Birdsville there was a special indigenous site that I think was the end point of a massive trek that began across the desert in SA. The storyline was a way of learning the waypoints where water was to be found. As you point out the hidden gems you find in such towns can be amazing.

A lot has changed out there since we were there in 2017! I love the outback towns, can't wait to get back! I've always called them 'crosswalks', never a crossing - maybe it's a West Australian thing :) My Dad and brother were working out on the Great Central Road about 30 years ago and swear they saw a Min Min, but they don't like to talk too much about it so must have been quite an experience for them
