Day 1 of my photography trip to Namibia and I am easing myself in gently after a very long journey. We photograph orphaned Cheetahs at sunrise before turning our attention to the nature reserve at Okonjima camp.

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your attitude toward the animals. I have seen many tourists who feel it is their right to see wildlife or who believe wildlife should perform for them. This includes: stomping into areas, making all sorts of noises trying to provoke a reaction or throwing things in the hopes of having an "experience". Similar to your preview video for this trip where you say you don't know if you have the skills to capture the animals, this is a sign of respect for the animals and the area you are in! Keep going with your passion.

welcome to africa - for those who make snotty comments about collars, it is a small price in a poacher riddled continent where wild (yes - wild - if you don’t believe me see the reports of tourists that get out of their cars, and get eaten) animals are hunted down in a terribly one sided expression of how low we humans can go!

Awesome video again Tom! Big cats are incredible to see, no matter what. Also, as an avid birder/wildlife photographer, one thing I love about my 5D4 more than my 1DX2 is the wonderful crop factor in 4K which everyone else seems to hate. Having that extra 1.7x goodness is fantastic for filming wildlife. I loved your video clips of the cats, beautiful! I can't wait to see the rest of your trip.

Absolutely love this video......brings back so many memories. I was born in the UK but left when I was 15mths old and moved to South Africa, I have since returned back to the UK (1994).....i still class S.A. as home and probably always will. I feel spoilt and very fortunate to have been raised in South Africa and have been able to experience lots of times what you are documenting. To anyone who has never been.....mark it down on your bucket list and go experience it......you won't regret it. Thomas once again thank you for bringing us along on this journey.
